As Colin Powell said, “a dream doesn 't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work”. My dream is to become the best physician I can be and to give the best medical care in the world to those people of my community that cannot pay for it. That is the main reason that makes me come to the United State for training. Working in a third-world country where there are not enough resources to give patients a decent medical care has driven me to pursue excellence in my career as in that way I can change the reality of where I come from.
In order to change that reality, my plan is to create a nonprofit foundation where the most underprivileged patients of the Dominican Republic will be assisted in their medical needs. In conjunction with my clinical career in the United …show more content…

Finally, I got everything in order for the patient to have what he required. Next day, was astonishing to see the patient as if he was a new person just been born again and the pleasure that I felt for been involved in his care at that time. Experiences such as this one are the gasoline that keeps my passion for medicine alive and are a reminder to always be that person that can make things happen for those that are ill.
Now that the purpose and motive are clear, let me speak about my short-term plan. During training I aim to be a leader, giving my colleagues an example of diligence, commitment and teamwork. The main objective is to do everything the best I can with the hope that this attitude will spread to the ones around me.
