Becoming a Pediatrician

To be a pediatrician is more than just an occupation, some might consider it to be a dream job. To love, laugh, and cure a child of a disease simultaneously, would mean so much, no matter how much schooling and training one must endure. Although the hours may become hectic and many nights may become sleepless, the feeling at the end of each day maybe a feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment, because of the fact that a child may get to conquer another day or be painless another night all because a pediatrician. There is not anything else in the world one might consider being if their love of children is strong enough, and their drive is deep enough to help save the life of an innocent.
Pediatric Medicine focuses on the prevention, diagnosing, and treating childhood illnesses and diseases. Although the first important review of childhood illnesses derived from Europe and dates back to the twelfth century, it was not discovered until later on therefore causing many people to believe that pediatricians originated in Paris, France in June of 1802. After the creation of the subcategory of doctors, a hospital “Enfants Malades” (Hospital for Sick Children) was built to accommodate the rise of the evolution of new doctors.
After the completion of high school, the real challenge begins. To obtain a degree in pediatrics, one must endure five to six years of college and seven to ten years of paid residencies. There will be a necessity to train in general medicine through most of the undergraduate and graduate studies. During residency, is when the specialization in pediatric medicine begins. Undergraduate programs in pre-medicine are usually offered in conjunction with another major, such as chemistry, biology, math, etc. Pre-medicine ...

...orld would most likely cease to exist, because the population would decrease due to children dying from diseases that could be cured if only someone specialized in them. As stated before, this job is more of a duty than just an occupation, the world needs pediatricians and pediatricians need the world.
