What is beauty?
It has always been said that “beauty is in the eye of the beholder" that being said, everyone’s opinion on the definition of beauty will differ. Some people believe beauty is based on appearance others speculate that beauty goes a little deeper than that. However, I believe that society has completely twisted the definition of beauty and turned it into an impossible perspective of how you are supposed to look to be considered “Beautiful”. According to Oxford Dictionary, “Beauty is a combination of qualities, such as shape, colour, or form that pleases the aesthetic senses, especially the sight.” Most people these days would take that definition and apply it to a person’s outward appearance. Although you can look at perfect glowing sunset and say “wow that is beautiful”, and which it is, but it takes more than that for a person beautiful. To be a beautiful person you have to have inner beauty and inner beauty is something you feel in your heart. "Beauty is not always seen but is felt in the heart" a remarkable quote said by the unforgettable Helen Keller whom was born deaf and blind but yet she found a way to “see” the beauty in every aspect of her life. Hellen became prodigious motivator during her time and presented to people how to have a optimistic attitude towards everything you do. That is what makes a beautiful person. Hellen Keller helps me proves my point that beauty is something that is felt on the inside. You do not have to be able to see to physically view beauty to know what it is.
