THE BATTLE OF BULL RUN
The very first manassa know as the Battle of Bull Run started July 21, 1861 in Fairfax county and Prince William county Virginia. This battle was between the Confederates and the Unions.The Confederate leaders name was Irvin Mcdowell and the Union leader was Joseph E Johnston.The estimated total of casualties were around 4,878.

THE UNIONS KILLED OR WOUNDED DURING THE WAR

During the start of the war the union had around 28,450 soldiers and all 28,450 soldiers were poorly trained with the lack of shooting and experience. Out of the 28,450 soldiers there was 460 killed during the war, and 1,124 were wounded during the war, 1,312 were missing and captured for a total of 2,896 either killed during war or just died from wounds or infection.

THE CONFEDERATES KILLED OR WOODEND

During the start of the war the Confederates had around 32,230 soldiers that were poorly trained out of 32,230 soldiers there were 387 killed, 1582 wounded, 13 missing or got captured for a total of 1,982 killed or wounded or captured.

THE START OF THE BATTLE

During the battle of the Bull Run the Confederate troops held down the fort of Sumter on the date of April 12, 1861. The battle didn't begin until they started to fight in Virginia just miles from Washington DC on the day of July 21, 1861. They had led president Lincoln at the time to push a cautious Bridget. General PGT had held a very relatively strong position with the bull run just northeast of the battle of the junction at the time. In July 21, 1861 there were two generals making a plan to outflank their opponents to the left and get up behind them to take them out. ...un John Pope became very convinced that he and the troops had trapped the Confederate army by having the Confederate army turn on there own leader which was Stonewall Jackson. On the date of August 29th Pope had decided to launch a series of assaults against Stonewall Jackson and his army of Confederates position along the unfinished railroad. Attacks were being repulsed on both sides very heavy casualties. At 12pm there was a longstreet arrived on the field from thoroughfare gap and took position on Stonewall Jackson postion on his right flank. During the rest of the battle of the 2nd war of Battle of Bull run Stonewall Jackson and his troops had fought hard through the whole battle and at the very end he was respected by the troops and had been rewarded by winning the second Battle of Bull Run. As of the Unions John Pope and his army had lost to the Confederacy.
