Hertzler Electric specializes in commercial and industrial electrical services. Hertzler Electric thrives from building solid relationships with the customers they do work for. This is one of the many reasons they have been in business for the past 25 years. They continue to get repeat customers who desire help with other projects. You have to be able to multitask and work under the pressure of getting things done by the deadline. If the job does not get done by the projected deadline there are definite loses to the profit margin. A good manager should also have good communication skills, and be able to convey their thoughts so that employees understand exactly what they need to do. Also, managers should possess good listening skills because there are times that employees have better ideas because they are the ones on the job site involved with the work. One challenge that Hertzler Electric encountered last year was not having enough qualified workers for certain projects that needed to be completed on short notice. Their solution was to hire temporary workers for that season to complete the project. Another challenge was balancing a very demanding and changing schedule particularly around the Holidays. The busiest time of year is the week before and after Christmas because a lot of companies want large projects completed within those two weeks so that their new systems are up and running for the new year. Tim solved this problem by hiring a few temporary workers and making his full time employees work longer hours. The problems last year were handled successfully and everything worked out in the end. Tim expects the same problems and challenges that he had last year to happen again in the coming year.
