Recommended: The career research essay

Out of all the careers to choose from there is only one for me, automotive tuning. We take the ordinary car and form it into an extraordinary machine. This career is great for any car enthusiast. It covers all aspects of the automobile. There is nothing that can’t be changed or modified to perform and look its best. Some of the most desired parts to customize are: Wheels, Body kits, paint, engine parts, seats, gauges, window tint. There is nothing too challenging that a tuning shop can’t accomplish. An automotive tuning shop is run similar to a lot of business. You starts your day early in the morning. To prepare the shop for the days work. This initial: cleaning bays, checking machines for damage, clean the lobby, file paperwork, and inventory. Most shops don’t open until 10:00 a.m. when all the employees are ready for the days work. The rest of the day is finishing appointments. Similar to other businesses your work is only generated by demand. If there are no appointments on the schedule then there is no work to be done. If there is no work to be done then the business is not making money. It is tuff to start a business but like my business teacher Mr. Raia says, “Business is risk!” To start a shop you need a advanced education. Some of the top shops in the world have people with a degree in mechanical engineering. These are the shops that make new products for regular shops. I want to obtain a degree in mechanical engineering. It will make it so I can understand the ingenuity behind the parts being added to the car. I will have the knowledge needed to make new parts. This will have a huge advantage over most shops. We will be better at installing performance upgrades as well as make new technology for the future of tuning... ... middle of paper ... ...er potential customers about it. My company has a small target market and losing a customer is losing big money. By putting the customer first we can achieve greater profit. Profit is not the main reason why I am going into business. Still it is a big deal to me. Unfortunately I can’t find the average wages in this field however; I am scheduling an interview with the owner of Slowmotion Motorsports. They are the best tuning shop in central Ohio. `I hope it will help me get my business started. Depending on the success of my business I would like to branch out into racing. Having my own racing team is my dream job and I hope I can make it a reality. Cars are my passion in life and the reason why I am who I am today. I will start my own business in the aftermarket automotive tuning industry. With my determination and a college education nothing is impossible.
