It has come to my attention through personal experience that the cafeteria hours at NWCCD Sheridan are inconvenient to student athletes. Upon feeling that this was a problem I talked to my teammates and some basketball players to see if they too were facing the same inconveniences and they were. The inconvenience with the cafeteria is the hours are too short or the cafeteria never seems to be open at the right time. For example, on weekends when athletes have morning practice, there is no convenient way to get breakfast because the cafeteria does not open until 11 on the weekends. Another recurring example, would be when there is a game for any sport. Most sporting games start at seven pm and athletes need to be there a little after five. As the Director of Student Services Mr. Garstad was able to provide plenty of background information to my problem and give knowledgeable answers to the questions I had for him. These questions were important to have answered because to get a good understanding of the problem I need to know the background of it.

Task 2. Survey Sheridan Student Athletes

For my second research method, I used an online survey tool called survey monkey to survey the student athletes of Sheridan college. I heard about survey monkey from other classmates. I went to their website and created an account. I then used their user-friendly website to create a survey. I used this survey to find out how many athletes were experiencing inconveniences with the cafeteria. I asked:
• How often do athletics conflict with cafeteria hours?
• When do you find the cafeteria hours most inconvenient?
• What are the effects of these conflicts?
• Do you use alternative food sources when the cafeteria is inconvenient?
• What do you suggest to make the cafeteria more convenient to
