According to Loe and Feldman (2007) Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) have received much focus during the past several years. The focus has been in the scientific literature and the media networks (Gimpel and Kuhn (2000 ). ADHD has been considered a common psychiatric disorder in childhood, affecting 3–7% of school-age children. The main symptoms about ADHD include inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity and frequently lead to learning skills, because of behavior distractions (Loe & Feldman, 2007, para. 1-2).
The teacher is usually the first to suspect the disorder and begin a referral to a health care professional. The supervision and care of students with ADHD is multimodal and may include medication with behavioral concerns based on academic interventions. The review of academic and educational outcomes of ADHD is based upon five essential questions: (1) What are the academic goals and educational plans of children with ADHD? (2) Will the academic and educational difficulties improve or continue? (3) What are the academic behaviors of children with symptoms of ADHD without formal diagnoses? (4) Can treatments affect academic and educational results? (5) Should there be a specific academic and educational plan for future research to determine the outcome of students with ADHD?
