Abortions Shold be Limited
I believe the both pro-life and pro-choice viewpoints have valid
arguments. I believe that women should be able to have abortions, but
abortions should be limited. I think abortions should not be permitted
after ten to twelve weeks of pregnancy, because at that time the fetus
represents a potential life. I believe women should be dissuaded from
abortion, and more public measures should be taken to prevent unwanted
pregnancies.
I believe my viewpoint is the best viewpoint is the best viewpoint
because it combines both pro-life and pro-choice viewpoints unlike your
viewpoint of pro-life. You believe that women should not be able to have
abortions because a life is at state. You believe that a life is at state
but you do not think about the consequences of having a child that is not
wanted. You say that women should not have the right to have an abortion
and that you do not believe in abortion but by saying that you are taking
away a woman's freedom of choice. A woman should have the right to choose
if she wants to have an abortion. Your viewpoint does not acknowledge a
woman's right to freedom of choice. I agree with your opinion, that the
fetus is a human and that it has a right to life and that is why I believe
in early abortions.
I feel that your viewpoint would cause many problems. One problem
is that your viewpoint allows no abortions, that allows no consideration
for the mother of the family that would be effected by that child. Also,
pro-lifers do not agree with sex-education in schools this would lead to
more teen pregnancies which would lead to children giving birth to
children. A huge problem that would occur if there was no abortion would
be illegal abortions. Illegal abortions would cause women to become law
breakers, and may even cause many women to die. My viewpoint does not
lead to all of those problem. Since we believe that there should be a way
to deal with unwanted pregnancies, which is abortion it would not lead to
women breaking the law to have illegal abortions. Since my viewpoint
believes in early abortion which will help mothers who cannot afford to
As to any argument, there are two opposing sides when it comes to the matter of abortions. These two opposers usually refer to themselves as “pro-life” and “pro choice”. Pro-life supporters maintain that abortion is wrong and pro-choice believe that it is a woman’s freedom to choose her pregnancy decisions. When it comes to the topic of abortions, most of us will readily agree that it’s a woman’s choice to decide what her reproductive decisions are, i.e. pro-choice. Where this agreement usually ends, however, is in the question of whether or not abortion is a fundamental right granted to women by the Constitution. Whereas some are convinced that a fetus is considered alive at conception, usually citing the word of God, others maintain that
For many years, infertile couples have had difficulty facing the reality that they can not have children. According to Nidus Information Services Incorporated, 6.2 million women in the United States are infertile. This problem leads to many options. A few options have been used for a long period of time: the couple could adopt a child or keep trying to have a child themselves. For those couples that want to have their own children, there are new options arising. In vetro fertilization is an option that gives couples the chance to have a doctor combine the male's sperm and the woman's eggs in a petri dish and implant them into the woman's womb after the artificial conception. This may result in multiple pregnancies - more than five in some cases. This does not only occur in implantation, however. Many times the patient's doctor will ask her to consider selective reduction: aborting a few fetuses to save the ones she can. In a case of multiple pregnancy, selective reduction should be considered an option.
Pro-choice versus pro-life argues over the issue of what should be the right stance when dealing with the life of an unborn child. From the perspective of a person who is pro-choice, they believe that “individuals have unlimited autonomy with respect to their own reproductive systems, just as long as they don’t violate the independence of others.” Pro-choice also argues that the government should not have the right to decide whether a woman should exterminate her pregnancy or not. From their viewpoint, they believe that what should be legal in the eyes of the government is contraception use, celibacy, abstinence, and abortion for the first two trimesters of pregnancy. On the stance of pro-life, they argue that the government has a right
Over the duration of the last century, abortion in the Western hemisphere has become a largely controversial topic that affects every human being. In the United States, at current rates, one in three women will have had an abortion by the time they reach the age of 45. The questions surrounding the laws are of moral, social, and medical dilemmas that rely upon the most fundamental principles of ethics and philosophy. At the center of the argument is the not so clear cut lines dictating what life is, or is not, and where a fetus finds itself amongst its meaning. In an effort to answer the question, lawmakers are establishing public policies dictating what a woman may or may not do with consideration to her reproductive rights. The drawback, however, is that there is no agreement upon when life begins and at which point one crosses the line from unalienable rights to murder.
The situation can be broken down into two parts: one with Iago bringing out all of Othello’s insecurities with his wife and also with Othello acting on his doubts to kill Desdemona. This action, killing Desdemona, makes Othello a tragic figure in this script because he killed the wife he loved so much; without knowing she was innocent. This tragic role of the main character in Shakespeare’s drama is quite common, even in a different drama, “Macbeth”, the original protagonist would succumb to internal conflicts. “the tragic hero—a man (Macbeth) of fundamental goodness whose inherent weakness results from an arrogant sense of self-sufficiency” (Conlin 15). This role of a tragic hero strikes Othello when his inherent weakness, jealousy, overcomes him as he murders
because there are many reasons for having an abortion. And a lot of the time
Language and imagination are among the most dangerous weapons Iago has at his disposal in Othello. Jealous and angered by Othello’s - his commanding officer - passing over him for a promotion, Iago develops a fierce, antagonistic perspective the aforementioned character; this sentiment quickly corrupts his volition, and he subsequently concocts a plot bent on destroying Othello. He renders this revenge scheme credible by concealing his true feelings behind a facade of loyalty and trustworthiness, and fabricating a fictitious story concerning the infidelity of Desdemona, Othello’s wife. Until the play concludes, Iago utilizes purposeful rhetoric to drive his agenda, and also a mastery of deception to mislead the minds of his targets.
to his self over-idealization, that he wishes to remain hidden. Unfortunately, Iago uncovers these flaws and because the flaws are unique to Othello, Iago is able to manipulate Othello more easily than anyone else.
A mother kills her unborn child because it is unwanted, but she's not charged for murder. Is it right? There is about 46 million abortions per year worldwide, and approximately 115,000 per day, but why? Is it because rape or incest, health problems with either the mother or the child, or just because the baby's unwanted or inconvenient at the time? (The Alan Guttmacher Institute.) Abortion should be banned because too many babies are being killed from abortion, if you don't want a child you could always put it up for adoption, and most mothers don't understand the consequences that occur from abortion.
It is almost unanimously agreed upon that the right to life is the most important and sacred right possessed by human beings. With this being said, it comes as no surprise that there are few issues that are more contentious than abortion. Some consider the process of abortion as immoral and consisting of the deprivation of one’s right to life. Others, on the opposite end of the spectrum, see abortion as a liberty and a simple exercise of the right to the freedom of choice.
It is saddening to see humans of the female gender, who find themselves in a situation that requires introducing a new life into the world; to abort such a precious gift. Many may wonder how these poor, innocent, unborn children are then discarded after the abortion procedure. One cannot fathom the reason of these gruesome murders that happens within these medical facilities. Babies are disposed in the red waste bins of these facilities, and later incinerated. Some may either be flushed down garbage disposals or even be sold off for research purposes. The issue of abortion is not just a social one, but also a human rights issue among the unborn children. I believe if the human rights of these children has been violated, then all other rights of humans are certainly meaningless.
Abortion has been accepted by the United States of America ever since the monumental Roe vs. Wade case in the early 1970’s, but is still a very controversial issue. Many people are for and against abortions. Some people say that the child inside its mother’s womb deserves the opportunity to live, while others believe that a mother has the right to choose whether or not her fetus can live or die. Other advocates for abortion claim that abortion helps keep the threat of overpopulation down. They also say that in many extreme cases, it is in the best interest of the mother and the child that the fetus be aborted. Abortion helps keep the crime rate low, so it should remain legal, they also say.
Othello had the right idea in a lot of things in his life, but if you have tragic flaws like he did, he was doomed from the beginning. Iago may have had the last laugh, and orchestrated the madness, but in all honestly Othello was truly to blame because he was weak, controlled by jealousy, was an easy target, and eventually let Iago have complete control of him. Common sense should have saved the day, but Othello seemed to be lacking this critically. All in all, Othello was truly to blame for his own demise , his own destruction. He caused his own death, and well now, he isn’t coming back. This is a prime example of, “Think before you act.” Use your brain or your brain will use you.
Early evidence of this transhumanist and thoroughly romantic modern human will, i.e., a will that is idealistic, intuitive and independently-critical, can be traced to ancient Greece. Cleisthenes’ establishment of a stable Athenian democracy in the early sixth century BCE marked a progressive revolution in political organization. Ancient Greeks from that point on recognized the novelty and significance of a political system which placed sovereignty in the hands of the collective individual. Athenian citizens grew comfortable in a democratic regime: with comfort came confidence, and with confidence came cockiness, insolence, and ebullient hope. Thus were sown the seeds of the western will.
Abortions have always been a very controversial topic. Over the years we continue to fight for or against it. One can say that is one of the most talked and argued topic in the United States. An abortion is when a woman terminates her pregnancy before the fetus is viable using various of methods. Some argue that abortions should be illegal and considered murder, while others, from a religious point of view, say that no one has the right to take away the life of a person, in this case the fetus. However, others insist, that abortions are a basic women’s right.
