Human Resources Management
I am applying for a course in the studying of human resources management because it is a subject that interests me greatly. The gobalization has provoked a serious crisis in the actual world economy giving human resources management an important role in finding a solution to this crisis. I believe that human beings are the principal players in any organization, they are flexible and the only ones who can mange the process of change that enterprises need to respond to this difficult times.
As a psychologist I believe I have much to offer in this area as a catalyst and a consultant for organizational change as it affects the members of the organization.. For successful change the employees need to be motivated, integrated and identified with the organization. Companies that are able to achieve will have a competitive advantage.
After my graduation I came to England to study English and I realised that this was a highly developed country in terms of business, economics and human resources management. Developing countries like Colombia can a learn a great many things from England and for this reason I think it will be a very good experience if I can study in UK university. As my references testify, I am a conscientious and serious student who would be of great benefit to your university.
I hope one day I will be able to join a large and dynamic company and follow a career in human resources management. I am sure that the successful future of any ambitious company lies here. I also hope to acquire a lot of experience in order to be able to manage my own business.

Alexander Hamilton was involved in a duel with Aaron Burr, the vice president, that he would ultimately lose and it would take his life. “At first glance, the storied Hamilton-Burr duel seems an aberrant, if fascinating, episode in early American history. We prefer to savor the glorious deeds of the Revolution or the resonant words of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. But the truth is that the 1790's and early 1800's were a period of glittering political malice and fierce personal attacks.”(Ron Chernow, Paragraph 2) Of the many traits that Hamilton possessed, ambition is the adjective that made him what he was. Throughout all of the events of his life, it was ambition that gave him the drive to overcome them, succeed and get to the place that he wanted to end up.
Have you ever wondered what Alexander Hamilton would be able to accomplish if he had not been killed by Aaron Burr? Hamilton, one of the Founding Fathers, was a talented man who achieved many things during his lifetime. Therefore, it is no surprise that he could attain a higher position in the office and even become a president. In fact, with him being a president, many events could be changed, including the War of 1812, the slavery system, and even the size of the country.
One day that I will probably never forget is the day that I had to play Jonathan Walker. He was easily the best table tennis player in our school and he had even been offered to play on the National Junior team. I remember the match as if it was yesterday.
Writing a self-reflective tirade is perhaps one of the most difficult tasks to perform. I have found myself pondering this topic for an unusually long time; no one has ever asked me to write about my culture-- the one thing about myself which I understand the least. This question which is so easy for others to answer often leads me into a series of convoluted explanations, "I was born in the U.S., but lived in Pakistan since I was six. My brothers moved to the US when I was thirteen" I am now nearly twenty, which means I have spent half my life being Pakistani, the other half trying to be American, or is the other way around?
The “interview at Weehawken” finally happened on July 11th, 1804. Burr felt that in order to salvage his downward spiraling political career he had to challenge Hamilton to a duel, but, little did he know it would soon only make matters worse. Ellis explains how each man fired a shot, but only Hamilton was hit and wounded. Hamilton died soon thereafter, and “the overwhelming popular consensus was that Burr had murdered Hamilton in cold blood” (Ellis 26).
A legacy is something handed down by predcessor. In this case the Hamilton last name is the legacy. In Act 2 scene 16 Philip is looking for George Eacker to confront him about the things he said about his father. Philip sings “Ladies Im looking for a Mr.George Eacker/ He made a speech last week, our fourth of July speaker./ He disparaged my fathers legacy in front of a crowd./ I cant have that, Im making my father proud.”(Miranda 54) Philip wants to confront Eacker about the way he belittled his father on fourth of July. Eacker belittling Hamilton has a huge impact on the Hamiltons last name which is why Philip thinks his father would be proud of him because he is being a ‘man’ and defending his father. When Philip finds Eacker they aggree to duel. They duel in Jersey where Philip is shot and taken to a hospital and eventaully dies. To me the cause of Philips death was too much pride. He couldnt ignore the negative things George Eacker had to say about his father. He tries to fill his fathers shoes and handle the situation the way he thought his father would have which led him to die at the age of nineteen. This play also has irony. Not only does Hamilton die at the same place his son was shot, he also dies due to a duel. The person who kills Hamilton is Aaron Burr. What caused the duel between them is Hamiltons endorsement of Thomas Jefferson. Before the duel Burr and Hamilton write a series of letters to one another. Burr writes to Hamilton “Now you call me ‘amoral’/ a ‘dangerous disgrace’,if youve got something to say,/ name a time and a place,/ face to face”(Miranda 71) Hamilton replies to Burr writting “I don’t wanna fight/ but I wont apologize for doing whats right,”(Miranda 72)Burrs finale response to Hamilton is “Weehawkn.Dawn.Guns.Drawn” (Miranda 72) Burr was angry and hurt by

Ancient Olympics The ancient Olympics had some differences from the modern Games. There were fewer events, and only free men who spoke Greek could compete, instead of athletes from any country. Women where not allowed to even watch the games on penalty of death let alone play in them.. Also, the games were always held at Olympia in Greece instead of being moved around to different sites every time. But also they had some similarities to our modern Olympics, winning athletes were heroes who put their home towns on the map, and became financially sound for life. The conflict between the Olympic's ideals of sportsmanship and unity and the commercialism and political acts which accompany the Games where also present in ancient times. Many areas of HRM have been discussed in this course. Those areas are EEO and Affirmative action, Human resource planning, recruitment, and selection, Human resource development, compensation and benefits, safety and health, and employee and labor relations. All these categories have an impact on how an organization is managed. Although there are many things that impact a business, the most important thing about managing a business is selecting the right people to help the company succeed.
