I Desire a Master's in Science
My interest in science dates back to my years in high school, where I excelled in physics, chemistry, and math. When I was a senior, I took a first-year calculus course at a local college (such an advanced-level class was not available in high school) and earned an A. It seemed only logical that I pursue a career in electrical engineering.
When I began my undergraduate career, I had the opportunity to be exposed to the full range of engineering courses, all of which tended to reinforce and solidify my intense interest in engineering. I've also had the opportunity to study a number of subjects in the humanities and they have been both enjoyable and enlightening, providing me with a new and different perspective on the world in which we live.
In the realm of engineering, I have developed a special interest in the field of laser technology and have even been taking a graduate course in quantum electronics. Among the 25 or so students in the course, I am the sole undergraduate. Another particular interest of mine is electromagnetics, and last summer, when I was a technical assistant at a world-famous local lab, I learned about its many practical applications, especially in relation to microstrip and antenna design. Management at this lab was sufficiently impressed with my work to ask that I return when I graduate. Of course, my plans following completion of my current studies are to move directly into graduate work toward my master's in science. After I earn my master's degree, I intend to start work on my Ph.D. in electrical engineering. Later I would like to work in the area of research and development for private industry. It is in R & D that I believe I can make the greatest contribution, utilizing my theoretical background and creativity as a scientist.

To some the causes and effects of things are mutually exclusive, and coexistence with one another. When observing specific equipment or even life, the question stands that there must be an account that took place before such items ceased to exist. Particularly, Aristotle argues that each thing, whatever it may be, will have causes, or types of explanatory factors by which that thing can be explained. The significant knowledge of causes allows for specific accounts to be known. It’s like questioning what occurred first the chicken or the egg. Anything in life offers a question of cause; something must have been in order to bring about the nature of today. These causes are apparent in answering everyday questions, which in turn explains that the causes of life clarify the being of which stood before it and such causes amount to same entity.
When I began high school, I was a little lost. My English was still frail- which was one of the reasons I kept to myself. When my homeroom teacher passed me the paper to choose a “career path,” I didn’t know what I was doing. All the words jumbled in my head and I didn’t bother to ask because I did not know how. I think I chose ‘cosmetology’ probably because it sounded like its Spanish version. Nevertheless, my sophomore year, things started to clear up, I was now considered fluent and actually understood what was happening. That same year I changed my cluster to STEM- I have always loved science and I truly knew that was my passion. Everyday after class, I would go home and read more on the subject. Passing hours on end reading through science journals and reading recent studies wasn’t a strange day for me.

I would like to introduce myself as Katamneni Sruthi who is applying for Master of Science Program in the Department of Public Health. My areas of interest are Public Heath, Dentistry, Behavioral Sciences, Health Science, Health and Social Care and Psychology. As I write this, thousands of miles from my homeland of India, I think on the path that led me to Public Health. I often wonder when people talk of health care disparities, if they can ever truly grasp what it means, what crushing poverty entails, and even what an underdeveloped nation looks like.
Workplace safety is a commonly used phrase that many do not consider until an accident occurs within the workplace. Throughout the U.S., workplace injuries occur on a daily basis. This has been an issue in the workforce for many years and is still an ongoing issue. Are there laws that protect employees from an unsafe work environment; what is the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA); and how did the labor unions affect the law? In this paper these following questions will be addressed, as well as the background and driving force of OSHA.
My passion for the fascinating wolrd of science literally can not be put into words. Since receiving my first home science kit at five years of age the way things work and why has always been at the forefront of my mind. During my early years I would find great delight in examining anything I could fit under the lens of my telescope. I will never forget my first look at the intricate detail of a human hair.
To know a thing, says Aristotle, one must know the thing’s causes. For Aristotle the knowledge of causes provides an explanation. It is a way to understand something. Because of the importance of causality to knowledge and understanding, Aristotle developed something like the complete doctrine of causality, distinguishing efficient, material, formal, and final causes, and later concepts of causality have been derived from his analysis by omission. Aristotle’s four causes gives answers to the questions related to the thing to help ascertain knowledge of it, such as what the thing is made of, where the thing comes from, what the thing actually is, and what the thing’s purpose is. The thing’s purpose is used to determine the former three, in addition to the purpose being basically the same thing as what the thing actually is, as the purpose of the thing is used to determine whether or not a thing is what it is.
Learning is a continuous process and the day that you stop learning is the day that you start decreasing your rewards and lower levels of satisfaction. My ardent desire to acquire knowledge has motivated me to pursue higher studies at graduate level, and to take up a career in research in industry. I have taken this decision after carefully considering my academic background, profound interest in research and strong aptitude for problem solving. Banking on an excellent academic record coupled with a keen interest in the ever-growing field of science and technology motivated me to take up engineering.
Just imagine working in an environment where there are very few safety regulations, and little safety equipment. Think of how it was for employees of a steel manufacturing plant to work where there are almost no safety regulations and safety hazards all around you. This is how the work environment was before 1970; there were only few laws or regulations that required employers to maintain certain safety standards or working conditions for employees. However in 1970 President Richard Nixon sought to change all of this by signing into law the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA).
I have chosen to major in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics because of my experiences in high school. I had the opportunity to work for a radio station during the summers. At school, I took engineering classes all four years. I was able to work on amplifiers, microcontrollers, and other electrical components. I have grown

Maintaining a safe workplace environment has numerous benefits. A safe work environment can boost employee morale, increase productivity, and improve job satisfaction. For companies and organizations, these benefits can lead to less turnover and increased employee retention. They can also reduce absenteeism while improving the culture and image of a company or organization.
During my school and college, I was very sharp in analytical problem solving and this quality made physics and mathematics one of my favorite subjects. I was very keen on performing the physics practical. My inclination towards physics and mathematics compelled to choose electrical engineering for my Bachelors degree.
While I was in high school, not only was I an active volunteer in several activities such as food drives and helping those in need, in addition to community work, but also I became invested in engineering sciences due to my perceptions regarding the importance of electrical engineering to an emerging industrial country such as mine. Therefore, as I was to graduate soon, I decided to specialize in this science as a student and future professional. Fortunately, through my undergraduate studies, not only did I found the science to be highly intriguing and vast giving way access to endless disciplines, but I have also found that it is very much correlated to numerous other sciences. This observation prompted me to further delve in my studies to become one day a well-informed engineer.
