The Renaissance was a time where incredible artists started to emerge. This was also the rise of the modern world. Artists like Donatello, Leonardo, Raphael, and Michelangelo created stunning paintings and sculptures all by hand. This was the time of cultural rebirth that lasted from the 14th century through the middle of the 17th centuries in Italy.

Many art historians have based their perception of the Renaissance on the rebirth or revival in the arts. Art was based on the renewed study of the art of antiquity and nature in the Renaissance. The art was more realistic than ever before and more humanistic. The art in the Renaissance was seen as a branch of knowledge, spirituality, and philosophy. People’s individuality was starting to show.

The Renaissance was the decline of the feudal system but the growth of the commerce. The Copernican system of astronomy was discovered also.
