1. As you start down your path to your adult career in college, you will have to write a lot of college papers, especially in English class. You will loathe your life because all of the deadline are approaching all at once, but your English 101 class you will help you learn how to properly write a formal MLA style paper. Throughout your English class you will learn the necessary steps to write an amazing English paper. In this class will learn how making a clear, strong thesis. A thesis statement is one sentence that is usually at the beginning of the paper, which controls all of the main ideas that are written within the paper and reflect to the reader what the paper is going to be about. You will also in learn in this English class how to spot fragments, run-ons, and comma splices in this English class. Having a strong thesis is very crucial because it is what catches the reader’s attention, that one sentence is what makes or breaks the paper because it is what the reader decided if they are going to like your paper or not, having a weak thesis statement can completely ruin your whole paper. You will also learn the different types and styles of pre-write which is very crucial in writing a paper. You will learn to not wait until the last minute to write your papers because all it takes it getting a bad grade once from doing that and you will never do that again.

In conclusion, in order for you to be able to achieve a good grade in your English 101-01 class or any other class that requires you to write a paper, you must follow all of the necessary steps of writing in order to achieve that. You must make sure you have a clear POD in your paper, a strong thesis statement, and follow by the five paragraph style of writing. You also want to make sure you do not make grammatical errors in your final paper. You must remember to never wait until the last minute to write your paper and you must proofread your papers because Like Donald M Murrary said in How to Get the Writing Done “Talk to yourself try beginnings and key paragraphs in your head before you get to the page, hear what you may say before you see it. “
