Learning new skills are not always easy especially if those skills are about technology. However, with some practice people can do it. I have chosen Educational technology as a major to gain a lot of skills and overcome difficulties in technology, so planning to learn how to make a video by using some applications motivated me to choose this project. Initially, I have had experiences with a video maker and IMovie applications. Historically, four years ago was the first time I have used a video maker application. I was so happy because I have little experiences about them. Because of that, I decided to work hard in those applications. As a result, I can develop and improve my skills when I do a lot of homework that require using video maker. During the first semester, I had a course about technology and I was interested. There were more than two assignments about video maker. The first one was about introducing video maker applications such as IMovie. Secondly, Animito was another task that tough me steps of making a short video. The application is helpful and easy to use. There are some similarities between the previous applications and IMovie. Also, most of video maker applications have the same timeline and features. The differences between IMovie and other video maker applications are that the quality of the IMovie application is better than other applications. Moreover, some effects that used to change a video are amazing. In addition, the transitions of between scenes are more creativity than other applications. I thought this video was going to be very difficult, though we have been practicing it all semester. Once my partner and I got together to do this project I became more comfortable. I went over my weaknesses and my strengths on the previous group sessions and figured out what I need to work on and what I do well at.
This video was about making a clearer and more interesting introduction. It was effective as the woman talked about the different levels of an introduction and how it should be presented. The diagrams and examples were very useful.

The helpers are proactive as they took the initiative to give assist to the audience which shows the enthusiasm and motivation in completing the task. With the used of the simple audiovisual video to show the step by step to the audience, it make is easy for them to follow conjunction with the help of the facilitators and helpers. In addition, the facilitator would ask the audience to raise the green indicator to show that they have finished a step before proceed to the next step. This is to ensure that everyone is on the same step and complete the activity at the same time. The downside in the implementation stage is that the time management needs to be improve as we have exceeded the given timing of fifteen about one to two minutes. This is cause by spending too much time in the first step of the activity.
From a young age, I was very curious. Curiosity caused my mind to see everything from a different perspective than most. I saw what could be improved and how I could improve. For example, when it came to editing movies, I was always able to see what could how it could have been better or I questioned how they had created it. My curiosity led me to try many different activities throughout high school, such as film camps, stage managing for plays, yearbook, and even creating videos for Rochester High School’s awards day. Finally, my junior year, I decided it was time I made films of my own for competitions. I wanted to have something that I could call my own. When it came to the two films I did for contests, I was there throughout the whole process.
With this short but very interesting and informative class I have just scratched the surface of the what it takes to make a full fleged film. It takes much more than I had presumed to make a movie in Hollywood. The number of people that it takes to make a minute of a movie let alone the entire movie was astonishing to me. There are many things that it takes to start making a movie but without an idea of some sort there is no movie to be made.
The second step to carrying out my exit project, was researching about time lapse photography, how to make a time lapse video, and finding the needed materials to make the time lapse video. In the end, this class has really opened my eyes to everything that is out there to supplement my teaching and my students learning. I am extremely happy that this class did not teach me how to use Microsoft Office , but I do wish that we could have had the opportunity to work more with the material rather than merely reading about the material. The Multimodal Task definitely allowed us to configure a lesson using and working with technology, but if we had more time, I wish we could have done more than one task to accomplish such goals.

With the rising popularity of films across the world, the amount of film makers increases every day. Many technological innovations mark the advancement of film making, but the essential process remains the same. Pre-production accounts for everything taken place before any shooting occurs, followed by the actual production of the film, post-production will then consist of piecing the film together, and finally the film must reach an audience. Each step of this process contributes to the final product, and does so in a unique right. The process of film making will now start chronologically, stemming from the idea of the story, producing that story into a film, editing that footage together, and finally delivering that story to its viewers.
