My educational background has provided me with the knowledge I need to better serve our society. In addition, I know that the job prospects needed for my job are countless, I have a great deal of abilities to hold a position that would accommodate your needs. First, I have earned my bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. This has helped me achieve great standards required for the job. There is a capability of looking into the scene of the crime with my degree. I will be able to discover evidence as well as review it. My excellent analyzing skills and patience will by far be a great aspect for this position. Patience is a great key to have when dealing with crime scenes. I am determined to receive this position with my educational background.

Unlike Police Officers Police detective don’t have to wear a uniform. Police detectives gather facts and collect evidence from criminal cases. When detectives try to figure out a crime scene they collect all the evidence needed to help them figure out the truth about what happened and who was responsible. This includes making an exploratory and final investigation. Becoming a detective might be quite hard, unless you are good at what you are supposed to do.
In order to understand how to compile evidence for criminal cases, we must understand the most effective types of evidence. This topic is interesting because there are ample amounts of cases where defendants have gotten off because of the lack of forensic evidence. If we believe forensic evidence is so important and it affects our decisions, then maybe we need to be educated on the reality of forensic evidence. If we can be educated, then we may have a more successful justice system. If we have a more successful justice system than the public could gain more confidence that justice will be served. In order to do this, we must find what type of evidence is most effective, this can be done by examining different types of evidence.

Forensic science is the employment of science to solve crimes. Forensic scientists use evidence from the crime scene to track the criminal down or determine the guilt or innocence of a suspect on trial. Some evidence examples that forensic scientists use for their job include fingerprints, footprints, teeth marks, blood, semen, hair fibers, bullets, broken glass, knives, and guns. Other useful pieces of evidence criminals are less likely to think about are descriptions, provided by the coroner, of incisions and bruises on the victim’s body. These descriptions can provide clues to the scientists on what kind of weapon was used for the crime. Before anyone can begin doing all this, however, they must receive an education.
The word forensic basically means the key to solve a crime. Science is the technology used to help forensic teams to analyze and solve crimes. What can look obvious to the naked eye could actually be a whole other story. Hair samples can determine many things about a person or animal when collected from forensics. In order to pursue my dream as a Forensic Psychologists I am aware that I have to put in a lot of effort and determination in to school. There are various aspects to pursuing my career such as getting good grades, volunteering in police departments, networking, and doing an immense amount of research on my field. The career I chose requires a lot of my time not only as a student but as an adult. What I mean by this is that from now on, my time is devoted in to acquiring skills and changing my persona in order to be better qualified for the my job. Throughout this road map I will talk about what is a Forensic Psychologist, what are the requirements, skills necessary, what I could do with this degree, the personality types that are best suited for this job, and what are the prospects of moving up.
Forensic science has now been recognized as an important part of the law enforcement team to help solve crimes and cold cases. The advances in technology are being used each day and we must continue to strive to develop better advances in this field. The recent discovery of using DNA in criminal cases has helped not only positively identify the suspect, but it has helped exonerate hundreds of innocent individuals. “With new advances in police technology and computer science, crime scene investigation and forensic science will only become more precise as we head into the future.” (Roufa, 2017) Forensic science and evidence helps law enforcement officials solve crimes through the collection, preservation and analysis of evidence. This a vital role within the scientific community. Without proper training in any type of field will lead to failure and complete disarray. Properly trained and having the correct curriculum in the basic courses will get the forensic scientists ready for advances course and actually be capable of doing their job correctly. Also having well training senior forensic scientists that will further give hands on training to newly hired forensic scientist is crucial. No one learns from just reading books, hands on experience is needed and working alongside senior forensic scientist will give a plethora of knowledge from experience to a young forensic scientist. Forensic Science, the practice in which information and evidence is gathered in order to determine the sentence of a suspect, is a profession that most individuals are unaware of. However, those who have watched CBS or Spike TV may have viewed the show CSI, which stands for Crime Scene Investigation. This somewhat popular show portrays a few positions of the forensic science department, and it also gives different scenarios that a forensic scientist may come across on a daily basis. As an adolescent, I spent countless hours with my grandmother while my parents worked; we both would always sat in the living room while we ate vegetables and watched CSI. At first, I didn’t like science nor did I understand it in school. However, as I started watching CSI, I began to understand the different procedures and methods that the scientists on CSI used and science in school became much easier. I felt as if CSI gave me a breakthrough and it was my calling to become a forensic scientist. As I became more interested with science, I also began to look up the different types of forensic scientists and became interested in the position of a Forensic Reconstructionist. The three main reasons for choosing my major and career was because I was fascinated with science in high school, I wanted to support my family, and because I want to make my parents proud.
First, I asked her to explain her educational background. She has an Undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice. Next, I asked her if she had a graduate degree. She explained that she has a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology. Later, I asked her if she could explain why she decided to get a degree in Forensic Psychology. She explained that she really enjoyed learning more about the mind and being able to apply that knowledge to Forensics. Then, I asked her what is the name of her current position. She told me that she is currently a senior agent for parole and probation. I asked her how long as she held the current position. She mentioned that she has been holding that position for 4 years. I then asked her to explain her responsibilities and duties as a senior agent for parole and probation. She told me that her duties include effective community supervision of offenders placed on probation/parole this supervision process includes office and field contacts, court appearances, treatment referrals, drug testings, warrant and processing services, financial collection management, interviewing, counseling and investigation when required. Next, I asked her what is her what does she like the most about her job. She let me know that the thing that she likes most is the aspect of Public Safety. In addition, I asked what she dislikes about her job. She explained that one thing she dislikes is that as a probation agent, she is not
After giving much thought to the many areas covered by Forensics Sciences, the main criteria to which my choices were narrowed and ultimately the final decision of Ballistics and/or Fingerprint Analysis was based on by the complexity of the job, need for a keen eye, and my wanting to be challenged in a career. I have no doubt that there are other areas that would be just if not more challenging however interest is a another key element in the making such a life changing and difficult decision.
