Apple Incorporated was first created on April 1, 1976, opening up a new world of technology. They were founded on the principles of making a simple, but great product. Android was founded on September 23, 2008. At that time, Apple was already sitting on 32 years of experience. Apple has been a part of society and our lifestyles for almost 40 years! Android has been around for only 7 years. Looking at these numbers makes an enormous statement: without a doubt, Apple is a far better and more experienced company than Android. Like any company, there are obstacles that stand in the way of making a good product. For example, when Disney lost Walt, "it took over a decade for the company to get back on track" (Harry McCracken). The president of …show more content…
When we look at the pros and cons of both major companies, you find that both have good things to offer, but one company stands above all of the rest. According to the title of a Time magazine article, they say that, "The Smartphone. . .Wars Are Over, and Apple Won" (Harry McCracken). Apple is one of the fastest growing companies in the world. Every year, the company hold conferences introducing the new lines of products. This is one of the most anticipated events each year. With all of the experience this company has had, there is no doubt that they have the best products on the market. Its clean look provides some of best experiences on a device. It may seem that having a lack of freedom on these devices is something not desirable to have, but it is just the opposite. The Global Post pointed out a very interesting fact, "One advantage to Apple 's closed ecosystem is a greater guarantee of security. . . making viruses and malware nearly unknown on the platform" (Aaron Parson). Having an enclosed system is more of a protection than a restriction. This is what makes Apple so great. Its simple system provides easy access and accessibility for all ages of users. What more can we ask for in a product? This is a truly amazing, yet, simple …show more content…
He said, "Our goal is to make the best devices in the world, not to be the biggest" (Karyne Love). What his company did was absolutely amazing. Apple has changed the way we do things in the world. He made a path in which all other major companies have followed for decades. It only makes sense that Apple is the better company. When walking down the street or visiting the mall, it is hard not to see someone using an Apple product. That itself makes a huge statement. Apple is a part of all of our lifestyles. Like any company, there are a few flaws. It is impossible to have a perfect product, but Apple has steadily inched closer to having a perfect one. No matter what the situation is, these products suit any needs people face in work or in many different lifestyles. Without a doubt, Apple is a far better and more experienced company than Android. It is as simple as that. Well, at least Apple keeps it that
Apple is a king in the technology world; poisoning every area of the industry that they have introduced a product too. They are slowly weeding their competition out. The only a company thrives in the thorn bush market is if they are in cahoots with apple. Apples co-founder Steve Jobs, started the company with all intention of dominating the market. The only obstacle for them is the Anti-trust law created ages ago. Apple, in their attempt to take the market over, has been racking up evidence against themselves. There reach has leaped boarders and even caught the attention of the European Union. Apple is pushing their boundaries and in the future will eventually cross the line in to monopolistic actions.
Apple has transformed from a computer genius to a powerhouse of all technology. “Jobs’ genius was in impressing his visions upon people,” and with each new advice the amazement of Apple followers strengthened (“Apple Computers”). Apple has created an illusion of a perfect society. With greater, more advanced technology, people believe that the world can only continue getting better. Customers have bought so mentally into Apples mission that they cringe at seeing someone using another device brand. Not only does Apple create an easier way to get everyday tasks complete, they make it look good too, “Jobs played a directive role at Apple in the development of products that were both elegant and tasteful” (“Apple llc Computer”). In today’s society the people are brainwashed by advancements which portray nothing less than a picture-perfect society, a
Yes. We all know who Steve Jobs is. He was the guy that made the iPhone right? Although that is correct, he wasn't just the guy that created iPhones, he is the one who first put artistic design before anything else. He is the one who made Apple Computer's the most attractive, and sexy products on the market. Everything about each product co-insides with one another, every product has a sleek design that no one else can copy, and in today's world, people are in awe when you walk around with an Apple Logo somewhere on you. Steve Jobs has been an idol for me ever since I was kid, although
Apple has its competitors, as it is expected, and they do not fall behind by much. One of its biggest competitors is the company Samsung. For years, those two companies have been head to head in the electronical world. All over the web one can find all sorts of articles talking about the conflicts of those two companies and about how they each claim that the other one took their products and just changed its name. But thankfully, those two companies are still strong (no matter how much people complain about the other one) and they both have a lot of people supporting them. There are two sides when talking about phone and electronics: the Apple side and the Samsung side. Now, what those two companies need to be careful about is to not let their guards down and allow the competition to take over, but then again, Apple is well... Apple and they would never let that happen (they have not done it for almost 50 years, they would not do it
Apple is one of the world’s greatest tech company and has its products sold in many countries. Apple makes about 34 percent of iPhone sales in America while compared to Android sales which is about 20 percent (Tung).
“Apple designs Macs, the best personal computers in the world, along with OS X, iLife, iWork and professional software. Apple leads the digital music revolution with its iPods and iTunes online store. Apple has reinvented the mobile phone with its revolutionary iPhone and App Store, and is defining the future of mobile media and computing devices with iPad.”
has a competitive advantage over their competitors. One of the methods that Apple uses to maintain a competitive advantage in international markets is tying their hardware and applications together with an integrated operating system. This means that one of their devices, such as the iPad works very much like the iPhone and many of the apps run one device just as they do on the other. The only difference would be the size of the product. Apples laptop is larger than the iPad which is larger than the iPhone. Otherwise these products share the same functionality and information through connectivity. They share functionality and information seamlessly through connectivity, constantly updating customer’s lives through simple plug-in. I think this is the number one reason why Apple has an edge over their
A few months before Steve Jobs died, he resigned as CEO of Apple On August 24, 2011, and became chairman, and he died a few months after October 5, 2011. He left a legacy with the iPad and iPhone 4 which he was working before he died. Comparing these two Titans of the industry neither of them didn’t always have a plan to takeover cellular phones, but Apple was always from the beginning concentrated on electronics, unlike Samsung they were at first concentrated on groceries and there homemade noodles. It wasn’t until the 1960s Samsung shifted their vision towards the electronic industry and shipbuilding and several other trades, by 1998 Samsung had already surpass Nokia, but by this time Apple was already selling the Macintosh, and making millionaires. It seems that Apple was never not doing good they were always successful, just like Samsung, but Apple sold their first computer kit for 666.66$ and already had someone investing in their
Apple uses a app called the app store. This has thousands of apps that people can purchase. These are made and designed by people. The only thing with apple is that you can only purchase apps on the apps store. When people start talking about android there are many different phones and devices that a person can use. For instance someone can buy the galaxy s6. This phone runs on android 5.0! This is the latest software that has come out. Whenever you buy an android phone they use only android. These devices can run both systems. Android has there own app store that they use. Android is more complex. You can design android to the way you like it. People who want a device that you can customise use android. Android is more for the advanced phone geeks. Apple is more simpler for people to understand and use. The samsung galaxy s6 has a lot of cool features. There 's a camera With 5-megapixel front and 16-megapixel back cameras that can launch in just 0.7 seconds, capturing moments the moment they happen is as simple as point, click, snap. And thanks to an f1.9 aperture, even low light party shots will look as amazing as you remember(Galaxy S6). This phone is Protected by the very latest Gorilla
...ecurity steps taken to preserve the owners’ personal and priceless information. The iPhone is a better phone overall compared to any Android device because of the careful design and attractive display, the operating system and its functionality, and the security of the device itself is definitely worth the cost to own one. Apple has really outdone there self and clearly surpassed Android devices, claiming the top spot of the competition.
We think Steve Jobs was a successful leader because he was imaginative, passionate about his job, he had the ability to push employees to create new things, had confidence, and believed in collaboration. Under Steve Jobs' leadership Apple was an innovative company and under Tim Cook's leadership Apple is now being seen as more of charitable, socially and ethically responsible company. While [he’s heard the repeated refrains that “Apple can’t innovate under Tim,” that the company needed a low-cost iPhone to thwart the progress of Google’s Android, that Cook never could replicate the Jobs magic—and therefore that Apple never again would be “insanely great.” ] (Lashinsky, 2015), he hasn’t changed his methods since Jobs’ passing and continues to lead in a way that he believes will raise Apple’s value in the eyes of society.
“I think if you do something and it turns out pretty good, then you should go do something else wonderful, not dwell on it for too long. Just figure out what’s next” (Steve Jobs: Iconoclast and Salesman). Apple Incorporated has been the envy of the business world since Steve Jobs regained control of the company in the late 1990s. Jobs, a true visionary, was able to create products previously inconceivable, and lead Apple to the top of the technology world. Unfortunately, Jobs passed away on October 5, 2011, leaving a massive void that needed to be filled. Before Jobs passed away he hand selected Tim Cook, an experienced and intelligent man, to become Apple’s new CEO and gave the company plans for new products to release in the future. Since Jobs passing, Apple’s stock has dropped significantly and the company suffered shrinking profit last year. Even with Apple’s recent struggles, the company will remain the gold standard for the technological industry. Apple has plans to release new products that will revolutionize the way people live their everyday lives, including wearable Apple products and Apple’s home entertainment system.
