She is not employed outside of the household, but her yearly income ranges from 10,000 to 19,000 dollars. She is the second oldest out of four children. Olympia grew up in a single parent household in a small town. Her parents divorced, one remained single and one remarried. Chris and Olympia have been married for 1 to 5 years. They scored a 10, indicating that this is an area of growth. Chris feels good about their conflict resolution but has concerns about their ability to resolve issues. Olympia has concerns about their ability to resolve issues and feels that they are few strengths in this area. They both agreed that they do not void hurting their partner’s feelings during an argument. Chris indicated that during disagreements he believes Olympia does not take the argument seriously, whereas Olympia disagrees. She also indicated that in order to end an argument, she often gives up too quickly. Olympia believes she cannot get her point across, but does not avoid conflict. This can be due to her abusive past. She is used to conflicts but during arguments feels like her voice is being suppressed.
