One night, there was a beautiful elegant woman, Lisa, who was sitting by herself at Club Soda. She just ordered herself an extra dirty vodka martini after a long day of dealing with unnecessary ex husband drama. Not only was this scum of a man her ex husband, but also the father of her two gorgeous teenage daughters, Addy and Sue, so Lisa did not really have a choice when it came to putting up with his life problems. Lisa was not so perfect herself. She knew she was beautiful, and that became a problem with most men she tried to date. She often thought of herself as better than most people she knew, which led her to not have very many friends. Plus, she was very selfish when it came to her and her two daughters. Other women were intimidated …show more content…
Lisa did not spend a lot of time with Rachel before the wedding. When she did though, Lisa saw Rachel as spoiled, and just not right. Or not as right as her two perfect daughters, Addy and Sue. Rachel often shot Lisa bad looks, or so she thought. Lisa often thought to herself, “Only a couple more years and she will be out of our hair.” As Lisa, Addy, Sue, Rachel, and Lisa’s two best friends are getting ready before the wedding, Lisa looks up and locks eyes with Rachel. She actually looks, pretty. Unlike usual when she has her blonde hair up in a pony tail and her big glasses on. “She must look like her mom…” Thought very confident Lisa. Of course her daughters looked stunning. Just like always. Addy and Sue did not pay much attention to Rachel because just like their mom, they thought she was strange. No matter what outfit Rachel wore, she always had to have her iWatch on. Lisa notices this quickly because it clashes with her pale peach bridesmaid dress but decides to ignore it and look the other way. The wedding was perfect. Everyone showed up and the ceremony turned out beautiful. There was a very cute bus boy that was working for the catering company that hosted the wedding. Lisa noticed him quickly, and wanted to get her daughters attention because one of them HAD to talk to him. Addy approaches him first. “Hey! My name is Addy, do you have Facebook? Do you want to be friends?” The cute, tan bus boy looked at her with confusion and walked away without a word. Though the wedding reception is going on and there as plenty of guests to talk to, Lisa could not help but to observe from across the room. Minutes later, it was Sue’s turn. “Hey! You are cute! Are you single? Do you want to get my number so we can FaceTime later?” “What is wrong with you girls tonight?” Snaps the bus boy and walks away once again. Lisa is frustrated at this point. She wants that cute bus boy to ask
Second, the groom visits the bride’s parents at their house to talk with her parents about the marriage. The parents question the groom to see if he actually loves their daughter. The groom clarifies to the bride’s parents he meet their daughter and fell in love with her. The groom also says he knows their daughter like a recipe. In the end of the visit, the parents tell him to come back in a week.
There was once a young girl with hair black as night and skin white as porcelain. She stared at her reflection taking in her extravagant white dress and the long veil trailing behind her. It is her wedding day and she is off to take her wedding photos. This is supposed to be the happiest day of her life and yet she cannot help but flinch as she takes hold of her soon to be husbands arm. She glances up at her indifferent finance and directs a forced smile at the photographer's camera.
This perfect day is dreamt of by a little girl her entire life. Endless amount of time and effort goes in to making this day feel like a dream. Many thoughts and conversations have gone into deciding everything from food, color for the flowers and decorations, the bridesmaids, where this event will take place, what to say in the ceremony and the list goes on. Dates are to be set aside to simply practice for this special, yet stressful, day. On this important day, the couple will then be legally unionized as partners in a relationship. Is there more to marriage than just the unification of two people? Is marriage viewed as the basis for having or raising a family? What is marriage? A type of marriage has been found in every, known human society.

My Best Friend’s Wedding is a romantic comedy about a woman who realizes she is in love with her best friend just as he is about to marry someone else. This movie is filled with great examples of what to do--and more often--what not to do in relationships. In this paper, we will look at several communication techniques and terms and how they relate to this movie and are used throughout the film.
Therefore, while some might cleave to this modern view of relationships, the truth is that it will not reap good fruit because it goes against the innate roles of humans.

If previous societies never took a chance to roll the dice towards the development of marriage affairs, imagine the chaos that would take place. Not that our world isn’t submerged in a pool of pandemonium in a harmonious basis but our idea of a family would be preferably altered; that isn’t to say a tribe is something we are supposed to cultivate in any way or form.
Right now, a buzz is going through the hall in which all the seniors are waiting and they look like bees swarming in the hall. It’s becoming hot and we’re all getting impatient. Amber is more composed and enjoying the good times in the present. She is standing there happy but sad to be dispersing from the rest of her classmates. Ann, the smartest one is having a little fun but not really. Her feelings are that of a person who realizes she’s going to miss what she had, but wanting to get the ceremony over with because it’s taking too long. Standing in that room we are together and enjoying one last real time capturing a picture with each other. Amber’s mom is so proud of her daughter that she keeps talking and smiling and trying to part of every MOMent. Amber is thinking to herself that she wishes her mom weren’t there but she’s ‘happy inside because someone is cooing over’ her. As Ann is standing beside Amber she keeps getting these expressions that say, she likes being with her friends but, ‘what is taking so long? Can’t we get out of these dang robes, yet?’

It’s about 7:45 P.M. April 15, 2015. Jasmine is calling my name asking if I’m ready to go. As I’m trying to put all the loose ends together, I think I’m ready. My hair is done in a curly up do with a thin white braided hair band, makeup rushed but it will do, and I’m wearing a knee length white dress. Just a simple white dress, form fitting, made from a linen type of material. My stomach is turning and twisting. As my mind is racing we make way to the park. Jasmine seems to be more eager than I am. As we arrive to the park my legs are a trembling mess. I feel like my mind is in a state of chaos. As I feel my chest pumping harder and harder, it feels tighter and tighter. This day will mark a very important day for the rest of my life. Today is the day I marry my husband. On this day my family becomes one.
