The poem "Phenomenal Woman is a poetic poem that women can relate to. It is a celebration of womanhood and femininity It expresses the jealousy, difference, and attitude that women see towards each other and how mean persee them. Every stanza is filled with explanations on how a woman should be confident with the way she looks and reveals woman 's attributes as a phenomenal woman. Angelou tries to show her confidence by stating the body parts that show that confidence and inner strength. This can be seen every line of the poem. This shows her strong self-confidence when expressing the way she feels personally about herself. Women today put themselves down because they do not think about their inner beauty. Angelou shifts us to explain the good things we should see in women and they are the cutest and best. She prevents the thought of thinking about what other people may say about oneself and convince the reader that beauty is more than skin deep. A liberated woman, free from any norms, any poetic norms.
One of the elements that Angelou uses is repetition in her poem and she uses it quite frequently so it sets...

...n see how self-confident she is. She also says that whenever she goes to any place she doesn’t have to behave in a strange and noisy way to get anyone’s attention. She doesn’t have to jump like a child, talk very loud or do anything that would make people look at her. Angelou knows that she is not an extraordinary woman, she is not super beauty, she is not a model walking on a catwalk, but even though she is not like that still her presence should make people feel proud of themselves and probably of her as well. The sad part though is that all of these men are only interested in the superficial beauty the outer charm of the woman and fail to understand the inner beauty of the woman the mystery which is always left unexplored. Instead they are happy just with the outer appearance and the beauty and grace of a woman’s soul is never touched by men as they fail to see it.
