Tania and Melissa are best friends since they were in middle school together. They grew up in the same neighborhood and both of their parents got along very well. They have had fun time and sad time together. Unlike Tania, Melissa had to go through a difficult stage in her childhood for being fat. Her mother and father would make fun of her for being fat. They would call her names and even tell her that being fat is a disease. Due to this Melissa grew up hating her body and herself. She developed a low self-esteem, struggles to feel love and refuse to feel beautiful. Despite of her size, Melissa is known to be the nicest, sweetest, and compassionate person they ever known. One day, Tania told Melissa to get ready because they were going to a pool party but, there was one rule to the party and it was to a two piece bathing suits. When Melissa heard this, right away she started feel ugly and mad at herself for looking the way she does. This news was very devastating for her because she knew that the majority of Tania friend had really “nice body”. The next, Melissa decided to go shopping for a two piece bathing suit wishing that she would be able to find one on her sizes. When she finally found one on her size, she went to the fitting room and once she had the bathing suit on, she looked at the mirror and started saying to herself “Why are you so fat and ugly? Why can’t you be like Tania with a nice body? I hate myself”. On her way home she decided to stop by a donut shop and bought a dozen of them for herself. When Melissa got home, she went into the fridge and started eating everything she saw, along with the dozen donut she bought. She stuffed herself with chocolate, cake, pizza, etc. because this was the way to relief her st...
