Space is dramatically huge that you cannot even visualize how huge it is. In our solar system, can we find a planet that supports life? Can living things survive there? However, Scientists have found a planet in the solar system that is similar to planet Earth in some things and it is called planet Venus. Venus is usually called the “Sister of the Earth” or “twin sister” because of the similarities that Venus has to Earth. Technically, there are some similarities and differences between both planets that will be compared and contrasted.
The first major difference is their temperature and atmosphere. The temperature in both planets is dramatically different. Planet earth’s atmosphere is about 100 degrees which can support life on its surface. Earth’s atmosphere contents mostly of Nitrogen which is equivalents to 78%, Oxygen about 20%, and argon. These can keep humans and every other organism alive. On the other hand, planet Venus’s temperature is too thermal compared to Earth’s temperature. Therefore, Planet Venus’s atmosphere can destroy a human’s body with ease because of i...

The author of the Latin poem, The Vigil of Venus, remains a mystery, along with the date it was penned. Many have speculated who might have written this piece of poetry, but no one can be certain. It is assumed that it was written in early spring on the eve of the festival of Venus, and set it what might be Sicily. The writer is focused on the natural world, and seems motivated by love, spring, and hope of the renewal of both. Some believe this particular piece is seen through the eyes of Venus, known in Greek mythology as the mother of the Roman people. Critics might argue that this poem somehow suggests the imminent fall of the Roman Empire, and while I agree with this possible explanation, I could argue
1.) Discuss the meaning of the Paleolithic Venuses. Identify Rice's position and explain it. Discuss four other interpretations of these figurines mentioned in class or in the reading. Do any or all of these interpretations support the views of the 19th century evolutionist Johann Jakob Bachofen?
The Venus of Hohle Fels, was discovered by an archaeologist, Nicholas J. Conrad, in September 2008 in the Hohle Fels Cave near Schelklingen, Germany. The figurine was found in the cave hall, about 20m from the entrance and about 3m below the ground level. Venus of Hohle Fels was a mammoth ivory, which was broken up into fragments and still missing its left arm and its shoulders. There were other goddess discovered, such as the Goddess of Willendorf (25,000 BCE.), Venus of Dolni Vestonice (25,000 BCE.), and more, but they aren’t as old as the Venus of Hohle Fels. These figurines were mostly likely made as a talisman for men while they were out hunting away from home, or perhaps it was made to display fertility, which showed a huge breast to
This makes the martians and the venusians are different like men and women are different. The martians expect the venusians to act like them, and the venusians expect the martians to feel and behave like the venusians. Men and women are so busy trying to understand their own gender that they don 't have the time to understand and respect the other gender.
On the archeology the term of Venus is a description of a Stone Age statue of women. Many Venuses were found through Europe, France to Siberia. These sculptures had a similarity in size and shape most of them on an obese or pregnant. They were carved on all different materials. The Venus of Monruz/Neuchatel was one of the last and smallest Venus figurines to be carved during the Paleolithic Era. The Monruz pendant was discovered on July 1990,during a construction at Monruz(La coudre) along with remains of stone tools, animal bones and hearths The Venus of the Monruz is a 16 mm in height figurine. The Venus is a pendant carved out of black jet which it’s basically a hard variety of coal, but easily to carve the Venus was carved in shape
Venus and Adonis is a famous and twisted love story between a goddess, and the most handsome mortal on earth. It is part of the Greek mythological culture that is not only known for being the basis of the existence of most people in ancient history, but it has still continued to be a phenomenon for those who enjoy the myth’s and stories of these ancient characters. Although this religion and belief system has almost faded to nothing, there are still many people who study its stories and artwork to completely understand what the artist was trying to portray through these characters and their artwork. Artists throughout history have used these mythological beings or characters as a way to tell a story, convey a message of their current society, and carry on the beautiful religion that once was. One of the artworks that has been continuously assessed, is the heart-wrenching painting by Titian “Venus and Adonis” based off of the mythological story of Venus and Adonis in Ovid’s Metamorphoses. This painting was created during the Renaissance Era which is one of the most influential time periods in history as it contributed to the advancement in intellectual thought in not only science and politics, but in art as well. “Venus and Adonis”’ existence on the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s walls is of importance because of the beautiful talent and composition of Titian work conveying “an allegory of the perils of life guided by fate rather than reason” (Gentili 1980), and also because of the heavy influence of its time. Titian’s “Venus and Adonis” was a fantastic window to the art and views of the Renaissance era. It shows the growing interest in Greek Mythology but also a growing interest in the education of art using proportions and linear ...
Hi I'm Taylor Heffron and I'm here at a school on Venus with Margot, William, their teacher, and the other children that have been waiting for seven years to finally see the sun in person. No one knows why the sun never shows and why it always rains. I have been sent here to experience the sun in the sky with these innocent children.
Theclouds fly around the top of the planet every four days, but wind speeds drop closer to the planet’s surface. The Winds on Venus move at about 224 mph and it keeps the clouds constantly in motion. On Venus, most of the sun's heat fails to make it through the heavy atmosphere. Although Venus and earth are very close to the same size, the air on Venus is about 90 times heavier then the atmosphere on earth, which would mean it would be very similar to driving 3,000 feet under the

Atmosphere: The Earth has one of the most versatile atmospheres because of the way the solar system here picks up water and carries it around the Earth for redistribution. We have a thick atmosphere that consists mostly of oxygen and nitrogen that helps plants and animals survive so well here on Earth. We also have a "greenhouse effect" that warms our atmosphere and it's surface.
This is probably a culture difference or a time difference since the Venus of Willendorf was created in 28,000-25,000 BCE and the Venus de Milo was created 130-100 BC and is a form of a Hellenistic style. Another difference is the fact that the Venus of Willendorf is not wearing any form of clothing and is totally exposed. The Venus de Milo has her bottom half covered with a sheet hiding her lower body and lower reproductive organs which contrasts the Venus of Willendorf and her enlarged lower organs. A similarity that these two pieces of art work have is the fact that they are both missing a body part. The Venus of Willendorf does not have arms or feet while the Venus de Milo is missing her arms. Another similarity is the fact that they were both Venus’ and created in BCE. Although they are both Venus’, they represent different forms of beauty. The Venus of Willendorf emphasizes the beauty of reproduction and sex, while the Venus de Milo emphasizes the beauty of strength and having a nice elegant

The Birth of Venus is a beautiful Renaissance canvas masterpiece created by Sandro Botticello. The picture illustrates the birth of Venus in a very mystical way. Venus has emerged from sea on a shell which is being driven to shore by flying wind-gods. She is surrounded by beautiful roses which are painted in a truly remarkable color. As she is about to step to land, one of the Hours hands her a purple cloak. The back drop includes the sea and a forest. The overall effect of this painting are almost overwhelming, color and beauty meet the eye in every angle.
Venus is the second planet closest to the Sun. It is the sixth largest planet in the solar system. A day in Venus lasts 243 days in earth years. One year on Venus is about 224 Earth days. Venus is the hottest planet in the solar system with an average of 840 degrees Fahrenheit.
