The Executive Board contains nine members: Megan who is a white female who is twenty year old and apart of the middle class status. Kate is a white female who is twenty-one years old and comes from the middle class status. Sammie, she is a white female who is twenty-one and comes from upper middle class status. Abby, who is a white twenty years old female who is from middle class status. Brittany who is a female and nineteen years old. She had decided not to disclose her class status. Sophie who is non-binary nineteen years old, she also did not disclose her class status. Fourth member, Darius who is only male is currently on the board. He is twenty years old African American and comes from middle class. Fifthly, Jamie is a white female who is twenty years old. Lastly, myself who is the oldest and only deaf board member of the group, twenty-two years old white female and comes from upper middle class status. We have a very strong interaction system. We see each other in person, face to face three times each week, some more, some less. Whenever we do not see each other, we keep in touch through texting, Snapchatting, Facebook and Messenger. ...behind the scenes of DRA. We just ended up working so well together and enjoy small amount of power that there were no issues or conflict of the interest. However, the presidents hold the most amount of power, we are permitted to do whatever we need to do but it’s better for everyone’s interest to have the president approve the change. By way of illustration, one time when I wanted to change the logo for DRA on Facebook and Twitter, I double checked with the president to gain their approval so there is chance for the president to make changes if it necessary. It makes the DRA Executive Board look good by our willingness to work together as a team, rather than individually.
Since Deaf Redbirds Assoication has blended our cultural needs and share with the general people in hopes that we can share the positive experience to people who are interested in Deaf culture.
