Sian Beilock is the author of this novel, the information written by her would be considered credible due to the fact that she is a leading expert on brain science in the psychology department at the University of Chicago. This book was also published in the year 2015 which allows readers to understand that it is still relevant information today that can be considered. The novel is easy to understand and uses the examples of scientific discoveries to help make the points more relatable. Beilock goes into depth about how love, is something more than just an emotion, it derives from the body’s anticipation. “Volunteers reported feeling warmer to when they read the loving messages than when they read neutral ones, (152). The text is very easy to follow because all his passages are from research developed over the years and formatted in an easy to read concept. The book was published in 2003 and although this was more than a decade ago, the information provided seems to contain the same value and is well relatable to today’s modern society. The main section with creative and useful information was all on page 323 where the author discussed what different types of love there is. One important take on what love is, would be that “Decision/Commitment, the recognition that one loves the other…and is committed to maintain the relationship through good times and bad,” (328). Also, “In companionate love, the type of love found in many long-term marriages, intimacy and commitment remain strong even though passion has ebbed,” (323). Moreover, the passages talk about what different kinds of love are and how “we generally think of love in terms of romantic love, it has been recognized since the time of the ancient Greeks that there are different kinds of love,”
