“You’re fired!” It was the most popular phrase in reality television. The man behind the words is famous, powerful, eccentric, yet very “matter of fact” about business. Donald J. Trump, more commonly known as “The Donald,” brought the business world into millions of homes with his hit reality show “The Apprentice.” "I thought I was the biggest star before 'The Apprentice,' but now I'm bigger." In a strange way, he's down to earth, the kind of guy who buys a $350,000 Maybach by Mercedes but insists on driving it himself” (Naughton). Trump’s brash business skills, keen instincts, and flare for taking risks has propelled him into stardom. Trump is one of America’s most well-known billionaires.
This essay will discuss the characteristics of Donald Trump’s leadership.
Leadership Characteristics
Trump has never been America’s most popular television host. Years before his television debut, Trump was near personal bankruptcy. He persevered from being nearly $900 million in debt. Trump’s success has been drawn from his vast real estate holdings in Manhattan (Naughton). “Donald J. Trump is the very definition of the American success story, continually setting the standards of excellence while expanding his interests in real estate, gaming, sports, and entertainment. He is the archetypal businessman – a deal-maker without peer and an ardent philanthropist” (“The Donald”).
His unconventional business style exhibits several leadership characteristics. One of the most visible characteristic is his need for personal power. Income inequality has been and will forever continue to be a highly discussed topic in society. As a social experiment, income equality has historically failed. The adage from the communist era “from each according to his ability; to each according to his needs,” ran counter to human nature and experience. On balance, there are positive aspects to unequal income which include; its success in creating a more educated work force, competition among people to succeed and more stimulated productivity, which do not always, but tend to balance out any negative impacts such as; concentration of wealth, social consequences and outsourcing, that it may have.
Repeatedly Donald Trump is witnessed at the Grand Old Party Debates, press conferences and even during his Tweet expressions, displaying the very demeanor that is disturbing to many voters. Donald Trump can be appreciated for his cunning business savvy and an ability to at various times throughout his career, make it big. By co-creating this reality show with Mark Burnett, not only has he capitalized on the public's desire to fantasize about (and for a precious few, compete for) achieving a high-profile, financially lucrative career as a business mogul, he has also brought to the mainstream audience a heated, emotional and stimulating debate about something that we all seem to have an opinion on: what it takes to be a great leader.
He may just seem like another rapper to you but if you actually listen to his lyrics you can see he’s not like any rapper out there. His name is Kanye West and he was born in Chicago Illinois. He grew up in the “ghetto” and learned to appreciate life. He didn’t learn to really, truly appreciate life until October of 2002. Driving back to his hotel late one night after a recording session, the new-coming rap/hip-hop artist was involved in a devastating, near fatal car accident. The crash left him with a broken jaw in three places and an appreciation for life. Just weeks after being released from the hospital he recorded his first major hit, “Through the Wire,” with his mouth still wired shut. He records every song like its going to be his last song and that makes every song better than the last. He’s not only a rap artist but also a producer. He has been responsible for being behind songs like Jay-Z’s Izzo, Girls, Girls, Girls, The Takeover, and 03 Bonnie and Clyde.

Income inequality in the United States has increased and decreased throughout history, but in the recent years, the widening gap has become a serious issue. Income inequality is usually measured by Gini coefficient. According to this method coefficient varies between 0 and 100; while 0 represents complete equality (income is distributed equally among all the population of the country), 100 represents complete inequality (only one person receives all the country’s income, while the rest of the population receives nothing). According to the Census of Bureau, the official Gini coefficient in the U.S. was 46.9 in 2010. This is way higher than the all-time low coefficient of 38.6 set in 1968 (qtd. in Babones).

Donald Trump is a successful businessman who has accomplished more than most people could ever dream of. He started in the real estate business and has his own university, appeared on a T.V. show, is a billionaire, has many golf resorts, and is the president of the United States. He is criticized for many of his comments and political views. Some of these views are him wanting to build a wall to protect the United States from illegal immigrants and drugs, wanting to replace The Affordable Care Act, and banning people from Muslim countries to keep out terrorists. Although Donald Trump is often viewed as a controversial figure, he benefitted the United States of America by improving and creating jobs, proving that non-establishment politicians can still win the presidency, and by making America safer.
Trump has had a remarkable impact on social media and in result that has helped build the reputation he has today as well as the popular stance he had all before becoming president. His influence on media began when he became the executive producer and host of The Apprentice. Throughout American history, wealth inequality has taken many different forms, and has affected many people and groups in different ways. In the following analysis, two measures of 'wealth inequalities' will be used. First is a more traditional view, regarding the distribution of income and wealth among the upper to lower classes. The size of the gap has varied over time, widening and compressing throughout American history. While America has been thought of as a middle class nation, this is a fairly recent phenomena that began after World War II. In this context of today, this idea appears to be fading as wealth is becoming more concentrated towards the upper classes. Additionally, these effects of both the concentration and equalization of income distribution can differently affect groups of people.

Donald Trump started early to develop his personal brand, this is exhibited by every piece of real estate Mr. Trump owns. Every casino, building or golf course has his name on it. He is eccentric, powerful, but yet he makes very smart business decisions. He is also a risk taker. All these business skills have made him a very well recognized business leader, and one of the nations most known billionaires. Donald Trump has appeared in many magazines, has written a couple of books, and even gotten his own show on NBC called “The Apprentice”. But what makes Donald Trump successful in almost every endeavor he takes on? Was he born a leader? or did he just become a great leader. There are certain characteristics common in all leaders. Some of those are values, skills and cognitive abilities. Mr. Trump exhibits all of these traits. If this is what has made him as successful as he is, why are certain leaders not able to achieve his type of success? Perhaps he has something extra that has propelled him above everybody else. Everything that he touches seems to turn to gold. Donald Trump’s leadership styles have made him rich, powerful, famous and known through out the world. This paper will examine some of those leadership styles.
Consumers and health organizations have sought to acknowledge the accumulating problem of childhood obesity in the United States. This research will provide evidence that television advertisements influences food preferences, and is associated with the increased epidemic of obesity among children. I will be talking about food advertisement and its effects on children. Today food companies have make children their biggest targets. A food marketer is interested in youths as consumers because of their purchasing power and their influence over their spending habit. I will be attacking the different aspects that the food advertisements have on children, and the health effects sustaining to food advertisement. I also will be taking different measures of demonstrating different studies to support my topic. The biggest source of media message is television and parent’s best defense against poor nutrition is controlling the power of the television.
