Recommended: teenages and parents relation impotance

>Why not have her go with him, help him set up and then just have them parent the kids together (not romantic) after Stefan leaves? Why not have Stefan tell her she can 't come with him and let her go? Why all this unnecessary drama? Why not have Caroline be single when Stefan comes back, maybe she lives in the same house as Alaric or near him or in some unusual living arrangement that works for them - people do it every day and it doesn 't have to be a romance. Exactly, it was completely unnecessary and could 've been better without the Caroline/Alaric and Caroline/Stefan whine fest. The only place worse is under Hayley guardianship in the Bayou. I could just see the weird conversation they would have if Caroline, Stefan, Klaus, and Hayley set up a play date for the kids. They all have a conversation about how Hayley snapped her neck, Hayley and Caroline bonding over both having slept with Klaus, and Stefan making more comments on how Caroline could take Hayley in a fight now. Please, haha with the way Hayley sneak attacks I highly doubt that. Not one or two people but basically everyone except for Bonnie, Jeremy, and Elena. It 's not hard to find people outside your group of friends to date and have sex with.
