An Introduction to Tumescent Liposculpture Tumescent liposculpture is a recent liposculpture procedure that is bringing loads of excitement to the table. Unlike previous fat dissolving techniques, such as liposuction, liposculpture does a better job of sculpting to the body to make the appearance you wish for. Liposculpture doesn't just dissolve the fat and hope the skin heals correctly to design the look you wish for. Instead, careful operating and planning aid to adjust the problematic region into an appearance you have always wished for. Tumescent liposculpture is just another procedure that refines the overall value of liposculpture. So if exercise and diet have failed to give the appearance you've always wished for, or if you just have a troublesome region that nothing seems to work on, tumescent liposculpture may be a technique that will interest you. It is always vital to study all the potential benefits and risks with any cosmetic treatment, and tumescent liposculpture is not any different. Be sure to remember to speak with your family, friends, and doctor before deciding. What is Tumescent Liposculpture? The best method to say what tumescent liposculpture is, is to break down the words. Liposculpture is the manner of changing, removing, and possibly even adding, fat to a problematic region to sculpt the appearance you wish for. This makes liposculpture different than liposuction because liposuction only takes away fat from the body. The tumescent part of tumescent liposculpture has to do with how the fat is going to be taken away and the style of liposculpture treatment it involves. Tumescent is another word for bloated, or swelling. So in essence, what a tumescent liposculpture is going to do is swell t... ... middle of paper ... ... swelling, bruising, numbness, and pain. This is a much safer treatemnt than traditional liposuction treatments were when they first began. However, it is still a serious surgery, and be sure to speak with your surgeon long and hard before deciding on tumescent liposculpture. Conclusion I believe everybody is virtually amazed at how different cosmetic surgeries have come over the years. They are no longer as dangerous as we once imagined them to be. They have become a great way to scult the body, and make a lifestyle that individuals have always wished for. This is ok, but do always remember cosmetic surgery is just a tool to achieve a new lifestyle, and just because you removed fat from your body once, does not mean it will not come back if you do not take care of yourself. Always combine your new appearance, with a more healthy lifestyle for better results.
Cosmetic surgery is one of them and becoming very popular, not because people need surgery, but because society has created the ideal woman and man and what he or she should like. Every women and a good amount of men modify their bodies to fit the image every day. Cosmetic surgery is the new hip thing going around and everyone is going to extremes in order not to fall behind. Plastic surgery itself has been around since the ancient times. As Doctors Richard Backstein and Anna Hinek state in their article plastic surgery can be traced to as far back as ancient times (2005).
Surgery (such as in the case of liposuction) – this is the most invasive kind of treatment as the patient is subjected to a surgical procedure. There is a need to be anesthetized in order for the fats to be sucked out of your body. After this, you also need some time to recover before you can go...
Labiaplasty refers to the plastic surgery procedure that is designed to change the shape, asymmetry and/or size of the labia. The labia are the lips that surround the vagina. There are two sets of lips surrounding the vagina, the labia major, which are the large, outer lips and the labia minor, which are the small inner vaginal lips.
One of the most common cosmetic surgery is the abdominoplasty. In a tummy tuck surgery, excess abdominal skin and fat is removed by the abdominoplasty surgeon. In addition, separate or weak muscles are also restored to create a smooth and firm abdominal profile.
Cosmetic surgery is essentially not a bad thing. Some people suffer facial and body injuries or are born with a deformity which can only be corrected by plastic surgery. Cosmetic surgery can also be a life saver in cases of extreme obesity. However, some people-especially young females- are becoming too obsessed with their looks and body. The quest of finding the perfect body has led many to the operating table, opting for multiple cosmetic surgeries.
Most people believe that having cosmetic and weight loss surgery will help solve all their problems in life. Unfortunately, that does not always happen. These surgeries come with more negatives then positives and can cause numerous long term problems for a patient. The first negative for cosmetic surgery is the pain. Most surgeries are aggressive and involve having to take several pain medications. The recovery time can be between a few weeks all the way up to at least 6 months. Depending on the procedure and how well the patient is able to tolerate pain. There have been many scenarios where the cosmetic procedure “has gone wrong”. This can leave the patient with permanent damage. These surgeries can also be extremely expensive. Other than minor procedures, most cosmetic surgeries start at four thousand dollars and only go up from there. Most insurance does not cover “surgery for cosmetic purposes”, so the patient has to come up with the entire payment, which usually leaves them in debt. There is always the negative effect of havi...
Having the perfect body comes at a higher price than just dollars and cents. The invasive procedure of liposuction poses many risks to the patient. There is no guarantee that the removal of fat cells is permanent. The removal of excessive fat can put the patient at risk. Doctors with little or no training can perform this cosmetic surgery in ill-equipped office settings. Other complications such as pulmonary thrombosus, lidocaine toxicidy, and imbalances of bodily fluids can lead to serious health issues. Ultimately, the highest price to pay for lipsouction is the patient paying with his or her life.
Today plastic surgery has become a multi billion dollar industry and continues to evolve each day.
One of the leading reasons as to why cosmetic surgery should be banned is because of some serious, and neglected, risks that patients may encounter when put under the knife. To be more precise, a procedure that one may see to be harmless and basic may carry out just as many negative affects as a serious one. In “Clinical Risk,” Mercer (2009) states, "All cosmetic treatments are medical interventions, and every medical intervention has a complication and failure rate”. The paraffin being injected in the faces of people who get Botox done, for instance, may overtime spread into unwanted places that would cause the sagging of the face, contrary to the whole purpose of this procedure. Sometimes the negative effects are not seen immediately, but over the course of life become more apparent. When one has a more serious surgery the risks obviously boost drastically. A vast amount of blood loss is also a major threat in such operations. One may simply die of excessive bleeding even after the surgery is done, meaning that you are not only in danger when under the knife, but even when you are finished from the procedure (whether it be a success or not). Moreover, statistics prove that most people that even though a high number of people get surgery done, a higher percentage get a second one of those same surgical operations done later on due to not being satisfied with the results the first time around. It is this factor that aids and results in the unhealthy obsession.
However, these side effects can be avoided with the proper amount of vitamin and mineral supplements. Up to 20 percent of patients who undergo the operation will require follow-up surgeries to correct complications. Common problems include abdominal hernias, breakdown of the staple line and stretched stomach outlets. There’s rapid regain of weight and all sorts of medical problems. From vitamin deficiencies to constant illness, stomach upsets, diarrhea, fatigue and horrible wound infections. Many people don’t want to admit they’ve had problems because they’re so happy to be thin; “People who have had the surgery the past couple of years are in a honeymoon state”, states Guthrie, Catherine. The author of “Bariatric Surgery: A Radical Obesity Fix. They is so thrilled to be thin. They believe being thin at all costs is more important than their own lives. Even if the patients have problems although these are some complications, most patients undergo only one surgery and there's an 85 percent success rate.
It is also true that we can change and enhance our body features through elective cosmetic surgeries. Many people choose to undergo these surgeries because they are unhappy with their appearance. I feel that these procedures are unnecessary, and that you shouldn’t undergo surgery unless you need it for your health. I believe that people go through these procedures purely because they have low self-esteem. Society tells them that there is something wrong with their body, and they feel that they need to change it to fit in. I think that this is a way to see if someone is truly happy with themselves, as we all should. No one is perfect, so no one should try to be it. It’s just a waste of time and money on their part all so they can fit in, which I think is pathetic. It is always a risk to undergo surgery, and there is no reason to put yourself in unnecessary risk. I think that it is ridiculous to put yourself through something like that. If I had a ten year old dark-skinned African American daughter who wanted blue contact lens, have her skin chemically lightened, and straighten her hair, I definitely say no.
Cosmetic surgery is becoming a trend world-wide today because humans can never be fully satisfied in terms of looks; however, this type of surgery has many serious perils rather than some benefits that we already know.
Cosmetic Surgery is a great discovery that has been around for many centuries. “The history of plastic surgery origins in the early 800 B.C. when surgeons in India restored noses to persons who had them taken off as a form of punishment.” (History of Cosmetic Surgery, 2008) Many people have used over the years cosmetic and reconstructive surgery to enhance their physical appearance weather it be for health problems associated with birth defect or problems that they have developed over the years or to even alter physical appearances for instance nose jobs and tummy tucks. There are numerous types of cosmetic surgery that can be done today in the United States, over the year’s surgeons techniques have improved dramatically. There are a number of pro’s and con’s that go along with cosmetic surgery, such as the amount of recovery time and the initial cost of surgery. Statistics also show that cosmetic surgery has grown so rapidly over the years it is phenomenal people who receive cosmetic surgery goes up by the millions every year. While there can be many related health risks due to cosmetic sugary, many times cosmetic surgery is necessary and its is made more affordable than thought to be.
Have you ever looked in the mirror and not liked what you saw? Haven’t we all? How about this, have you ever looked in the mirror and considered spending thousands of dollars to change what you see? Nope, me neither, but unfortunately thousands of people everyday do. Whether it’s a new nose, bigger breasts, an uplifted face, or any other cosmetic surgery, everyday someone is going under the knife to feel better about themselves. Now you may think, well that’s fine if they’re happy that way. However, it is most likely that after a surgery they will be more upset with what they see. There are many risks ignored by patients having cosmetic surgery
The world of cosmetic surgery is one of the largest and fastest growing industries worldwide, bringing in billions of dollars each year with cosmetic procedures that both men and women are having, in order to improve their looks, self esteem, and fulfilling societies norms and values. Cosmetic surgery has been accepted in certain cultures, this is a way of expressing who the person is. In my opinion cosmetic surgery is a good thing for individuals to pursue. As cosmetic surgery improves mental and physical well being, cosmetic surgeries through media, as cometic surgeries are improving health related issues, and creating opportunities for people.
