Writing the first sentence of an essay has always been an obstacle for me in writing. I just don’t know where to start. And this ties with organization of my essay, where do I go after my first sentence and then where for my second paragraph and so on. I have trouble deciding or knowing which supporting paragraph should go in which order. Or when I have a sentence that seems to fit in two paragraphs but I don’t know which one to put it in. I have so many problems when I’m writing an essay not just the one’s in my introduction paragraph. Another big obstacle in my essay is that I don’t know how to write an introduction paragraph. I know I’m supposed to introduce or list what I’ll be talking about later in my supporting paragraphs. But I feel like I’m not introducing or listing what I’ll be talking about, but rather my introduction is already my second paragraph or something like that. My introduction never seems to be catchy like the ones that are published.
I don’t have problems with not having enough ideas to write about; if my paper was like a fictional essay. But when it comes to essays that are non-fiction I can easily get stuck by not having enough information or in which direction I want to take my essay into. Even the problem of going off topic gives me headaches. When I’m writing fiction I have no trouble finding stuff to write about because this is where I can let my imaginations go wild, and draw ideas from my surroundings. I love writing when it comes to fiction, the thrill of capturing the five senses are quite addicting. I just can’t stop writing when writing non-fiction because every second that I’m writing new ideas pop up, ideas even better than the ones before. But I don’t know why, but when it comes to non-fict...

... review in class at my old school I feel like I never get any good reviews. As in students who read my essays either say it good or well done and draws some grammar corrections. But they never gave me any ideas on how I could improve my essay. This is probably because students do the reviews; and the teacher never reads any of our drafts, only the final and by then you can’t make any corrections. So I’m hoping that by taking English 100 I’ll be able to improve my essay writing skills, since being able to write a good essay is essential in the future.
Although I lack many of the essentials that are required to make a good essay, like grammar, organization, and experience, I hope to, by the end of this semester, to be able to improve my writing skills. Instead of always writing an essay that is very disorganized and with information splattered all over the place.

God Of Carnage : An Excellent Play Essay

- God of Carnage is an excellent play. At first, I was doubtful, but after having the pleasure to view the University of Arkansas’ production of this piece, I was absolutely blown away by the performance of each actor in terms of their delivery and overall responsiveness to their respective source material. The Struggle Of The Intellectually Excellent Essay

- In order to properly understand the struggle of the intellectually excellent, it is first important to understand what makes one intellectually excellent.
