People often find themselves sitting in front of the television screen for a longer period of time than ever before and this is due to the fact that television has evolved immensely over the past few years. Society is so addicted to television that it has become an issue. The generation of today has been raised in a technological advance world and there has been definite controversy over many of these innovations that this new culture has brought. An innovation that has affected the young of America for many years is television. Television is also connected to popular culture in which today’s society lives and breathes. Popular culture is everything people see, read, listen to, or watch. As popular culture evolved, television shows also changes. Television is one of the most important sources of information. It plays such a significant role in people’s everyday lives that it’s almost impossible to imagine how people would live if there were no television. The article, “Why We Love TV’s Anti-heroes” by Stephen Garrett talks about how the society has shifted from classical hero to anti-hero television shows. Anti-heroes have grown for American’s to like over the decades because it relates in real life social. Television has evolved throughout the century through moral judgment, complex society, reflection of popular culture, emotional appeal, and there has been a great influence on teenagers.
