Obsession with healthy eating plays a part in our mentality as well as our physical health. It turns out that the concept of the addiction to healthy eating is called orthorexia nervosa. Developing an unhealthy obsession with healthy eating can affect our quality of life while impairing our mental and physical health as well as our ethics. While Americans are occupied with their obsession, they are missing out on the joy of eating and making connections, which is crucial for healthy living. We can not let the obsession with healthy eating take over our lives to the extent that it will kill us in ways where we are isolated from our loved ones and society. The solution to this problem would to make the right choices in eating and to eat moderately, and simply to not let food cloud our judgement.
