The "Sudan United" group has organized a cultural project- against separation- and the project was fruitful because our ears were furnished by hearing the phrase of (in the sake of our country), which refers to that project in which a large number of creators were involved and developed an encouraging slogan "against despair". Despite that the artists participating in the project differ in their ideologies and their intellectual and cultural backgrounds, all of them agree upon the unity of the Sudan and deny separation and political silence.
Double standard:
After the hearts of those who love their homeland had been torn up by the notion of separation; the star of the Sudanese creator began to glitter and shine in spite of the adventures of the beguiled ones, who have wasted their lives in rising anxiety and blowing intimacy out of their lives and the lives of those around them. A lot of good people were confused because of these beguiled ones who are originally diluted by their own day dreams which, as they think, cannot by realized unless their feelings and ears surrender to the countries which encourage separation and of which encouragement and blessings were expressed by recognizing separation as a matter of right. The beguiled ones had forgotten or intentionally neglected that the encouraging and motivating countries have double standard. In Spain, for instance, the "Passaic" is still suffering the cruelty of degradation and non-recognition beside that Britain still stand against woman`s labor and employment and consistently refuses to return North Ireland to its territories; the United States which supports and ignites the torch of wars day and n...

Civil war in a country such as Sudan caused major damage within the borders. Death surrounded the nation as the northern Islamic and the southern Christians fought. This long lasting conflict finally ended and resulted in the creation of a new country, Southern Sudan. Clearly now is the time for the Lost Boys to return once again, as educated people, to rebuild their homeland. Bixler’s novel is a message of how education is a vital tool for those willing to enrich their lives and the lives of others less fortunate.

Sudan, which is located in northeast Africa, is ranked number 190 based on the amount of migrants per thousand people with a total of -4.44 migrants per thousand people. For roughly 12 years (from 2001-2013), Sudan has faced many challenges that push it’s people out of the land and pull them towards other places. These factors are known as push and pull factors. Even though there are many challenges that come with immigration, the results are more rewarding than what they would have been in Sudan. After migrating out of Sudan, these Sudanese migrants also face long-term consequences because of their decision to move.
Therefore, without friction, the story would be uninteresting to the reader. Arguments, disputes, and struggles are the main causes of conflict. However, there are two categories which conflict falls under: individual and group conflict. Individual conflict revolves around man vs. man and man vs. self. The first sign of conflict in “Shooting an Elephant” represents man vs. self: “In Moulmein, in lower Burma, I was hated by large numbers of people – the only time in my life that I have been important enough for this to happen to me” (Orwell 619). The importance of man vs. self-conflict in “Shooting an Elephant” is used to affect the reader’s emotions. For this reason, the reader feels compassionate towards the sub-divisional police officer. Man vs. man conflict is between the officer and the Burmese citizens: “a nimble Burman tripped me up on the football field and the referee (another Burman) looked the other way, the crowd yelled with hideous laughter” (Orwell 620). The author desires to be accepted into the native's lives; no longer a social outcast. However, with this desire comes the knowledge that the group may or may not be correct in their brutal quest for blood. “Shooting an Elephant” by George Orwell demonstrates one man's moralistic battle between his own belief of preservation of life against that of the crowd of natives which spur him to kill the beast. The author is incited in his actions by the large, unanimous crowd looming eagerly behind him. The sheer size of the group of Burmese natives creates an illusion of strength in numbers that can be hard to fight.

That officer was George Orwell, and he writes about his experience in his short story, 'Shooting an Elephant';. The Sudan genocide, a civil war that was started in the early 1980s when drought, famine and the spread of un-arable land caused traditional African herders and Darfur citizens to argue over land. For the next 22 years relationships worsened between the Arab and non-Arab tribes. The Western region of Sudan: Darfur was thrown into civil war by its own government and two rbel armies in an uprising that should have been seen coming for a long time. In the movie Mulan, based on the “Ballad of Mulan,” Disney inaccurately portrays her life causing many incongruities. In the movie, Mulan is portrayed as being weak and unskilled with weapons and horsemanship. The “real” Mulan, however, was said to have practiced with many weapons and warfare methods. As an article in The Epoch Times stated,” Mulan’s father…raised Mulan like a boy. She....practiced martial arts, archery, and fencing with her father….liked to read her father’s manuals on military strategy.” This would show that contrary to the Disney version, which depicts a young Mulan as being hopeless and weak, she was actually a fierce warrior who could carry herself into battle. In addition, the real Mulan also rode horses and shot arrows, differing from the incompetent Mulan that is depicted in the “We Are Men” scene of the movie. While Disney portrays Mulan as being unskilled and inadequate upon her entrance to camp, the actual Mulan was extremely adept to the art of war and extremely capable of holding her ground.

The character, himself, is part of the British rule and is supposed to have all of the power. The Burmese, though, dangle the power in front of him. He is weak and unsure of himself, stating that he “wears a mask, and his face grows to fit it” (60). The character is not able to stand up for what he believes in -- that is, not shooting the elephant. There is a back and forth struggle in his mind about whether or not the elephant needs to be killed. Orwell’s character is fully aware that it is wrong and immoral to shoot an innocent creature, but eventually secedes to the demands of the Burmese, attempting to prove his cooperation and loyalty to those watching. In a way, the Burmese represent the pressures of society. Because of this, the audience can sympathize with the main character. There are always times when we, the readers, are unsure of ourselves, but we eventually make a decision. Whether we make the decision for ourselves or are assisted by others, in the end, we must take responsibility for our own actions. In the words of Halima Bashir, “my whole life is one bad luck story” (261). Education is a massive issue in Tears of the Desert. Halima is relentlessly struggling for her right to learn and be treated equally in Sudanese schools. Additionally, Sudan’s education system is far more challenging to succeed in than America’s and is often cut short for most due to personal obstacles. Halima sincerely uses friendships to her advantage and tries to break the silence between the people of Sudan about how tainted the country’s educational system certainly is. One could imply, that Sudan is a corrupt country as a whole.
"Shooting an Elephant" is perhaps one of the most anthologized essays in the English language. It is a splendid essay and a terrific model for a theme of narration. The point of the story happens very much in our normal life, in fact everyday. People do crazy and sometimes illegal moves to get a certain group or person to finally give them respect. George Orwell describes an internal conflict between his personal morals and his duty to his country to the white man's reputation. The author's purpose is to explain the audience (who is both English and Burmese) about the kind of life he is living in Burma, about the conditions, circumstances he is facing and to tell the British Empire what he think about their imperialism and his growing displeasure for the imperial domination of British Empire.
