Throughout the year we have read many different novels from many different time periods. We have read from the following five time periods Colonial, Revolutionary, Romanticism, Realism, and Modernism. All five of these time periods express the way of life in many different ways. By that I mean that throughout every time period the thought of life is very much so different. Each time period gives you a different perspective on life and also how much different we live now in comparison to any of these time periods with the exception of post modernism. Post modernism is the current way way of writing. These time periods range from 1607-current. We have read and learned the ways of writing from 400 years in the matter of nine months. We truly need more time to truly understand all of these ways of writing.
The colonial time period was the first time period that we had to joy of learning about this year. This time period took place from 1607-1764. This style of writing was very interesting because it pretty much started when the first people were coming to the Americas. It lead us all the way from the first people to settle in colonies to the first president of the United states of America. Well as we know he was. This time period did not take us to his presidency but it did start to talk about George Washington. In this we also had a little bit about the revolutionary war and the planning up to it. I absolutely loved this time period because it was the oldest and most unknown.
Next we have the Revolutionary time period. The Revolutionary time period took place from 1764-1789. This time period took us all the way through the Revolutionary war. We also learned about the major planning leading up to the Revolutionary war. We learned ...

... that were out of this world, quite literally. A novel by Kurt Vonnegut called Breakfast of Champions was about a man named Kilgore Traut. This novel took place on another planet.
The topic that I chose for my research paper was Pot-Modernism. I absolutely love this type of writing. It is filled with Science Fiction and Syfy-ish writings. This makes for a very interesting read and it will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat. This was the only section that we read all year that I read the story all the way through and not just skim through just so I had a basic idea. I read the story from our post modernism book and not only that I also went and found the whole book and have begun reading it. This section was by far the best read that we had. Don’t get me wrong some of the other sections were really good but Post-Modernism was the most intriguing to me.
