United States always makes an effort to invest and provide education for its citizens. In America the education is a public good. At least from pre-school to secondary is required for all its citizens. Federal government creates policies and programs that its citizens can participate in an educative system. For example, the US education department 's mission is: “To promote student achievement and preparation for global competitiveness by fostering educational excellence and ensuring equal access.” Moreover, the state government has the principal duty of providing and improving the level of education and the level of performance of students through building schools, providing materials, hiring teachers, and others.
Moreover, The mission of the American education system is not just about providing education, but it also looks for the best academic student achievement and performance. Such objectives require multiple labor, factors, bureaus, projects, and other resources in order to achieve efficiency. Therefore, an expansion of new education programs are created in nowadays. Thus, in the last decades the federal and state spending on education have increased in a greater scale never seen it before.
Nonetheless, there are concerns about the marginal productivity of students obtained per dollar spent on education. Marginal productivity because as there is an increase of payment for an additional student in the education system, there is not achieved the expected academic outcome by the students . Therefore, the research can observe how the common core net benefits of common core outweighs the net costs of high school not for a great proportion, but common core stills performs a better work than traditional system in Washington school districts.
What can we do?
Is it repeated the same situation of high school in Washington state along the country?
Perhaps the situation is not really bad if the cost-benefit analysis is that there are greater benefits even in an slightly way, people should accept the new common core. Or the other better question will be how can we improve the current situation without creating more problems than the existing ones
