Today we use three main ways to get information, TV,the Internet and word of mouth. Once we turn our TV or radio within the first twenty minutes of your program there is a break in whatever show that you’re tuned into or listening to, their will be a advertisements to promote some product that suppliers want you to consume. The Advertisements are usually telling you to do some type of action, whether it’s to buy something, listen to something or vote for something or ect. You may ask why that such a bad thing is, and I would say because of the targeting advertisements. Advertisements are strategically placed in specific time slots to target the audience that is more susceptible to give in a do whatever they are asking you to do. That’s why I believe that advertisements are molding us in today’s society.

I believe in today’s society we are fighting a war that most people don 't know exists today. In my opinion, technology itself along with advertisement is destroying us and in a way brainwashing us. Without the technology and media, advertisements would not be as effective as they are now because there wouldn’t be any way to disperse their message. Let’s take a look on how advertisements are targeting people. If you pay attention to your child’s favorite TV station, kid’s advertisements come on the most while kids are out of school. Food advertisements tends to come on more when adults are off of work and is thinking about what to eat for dinner. These are not coincidences, advertisements are strategically placed there to target who they want. I added media and technology to my topic because without the media promoting technology and new advancements and technology promoting advertisements, advertisements wouldn’t be as effectiv...

The point that I am trying to get across is that media, and technology are rebels because the rebel against the social norm, they force us to make choices and decisions that could affect us for the rest of our lives. The world is steady evolving and not necessarily in a positive way. We need to stand up the rebels and of today’s society and speak up. That’s why I believe that that advertisements mold our sense of daily life
