In the first chapter, it started from the adult learning in today’s world, apparently, adult learning in today, is very convenience. Learning can be everywhere, nowadays, it’s a world of information. At the same time, economy is becoming the “ information economy” (by the technology)and “ knowledge economy”(more companies gather the resources and workforce and relocate business to making further development)(2013). Hence, we realized that there are several factors influencing adulating learning. Globalization and knowledge society showed the trend of our world, these two parts are most useful to me in this chapter. As an Environmental education program student, I found that Globalization and Knowledge about protecting our living environment are really important, especially in developing countries. And these two parts are most engaged with learning of this chapter as well. The part of” motivation in adult education” engaged most in learning of this chapter, authors focused more about how to apply this ideas presented and how these variable intersect to influence the context of learning(p162). The most surprised me part is the Wlodkowski (2008) put forwards two assumptions, four motivational conditional for learning and includes some strategies for doing so. From my perspective, I think that creating an learning atmosphere is a racial factor, because sometimes people have the motivation to learn while there is no learning atmosphere. Adult learning is not only about individual but also about the teacher and instructor.
