Adolf Hitler was born on April 20th of 1889 in Austria. As a child he played “Cowboys and Indians” which had a huge influence in war since it is a game that imitates the supposed behavior of cowboys and Indians in a conflict, as in shooting, chasing, and capturing. He had found a book of the Franco-Prussian War and he had become very interested in war-related material.

He was a very outgoing, confident, loving boy until his brother died of malaria, and that made him rebel against his parents and relatives. He battled his parents and teachers.

Adolf held a very close relationship with his mother, but a very distant from his authoritarian father. His father wanted him to follow his footsteps in the family business, but Adolf refused because he wanted to follow his own dream, which was painting. Since his father did not permit his painting activities, Adolf rebelled.

German Nationalism became an obsession to him, because not only he had a devotion to Germany, but also it was not accepted by his father (since his father served the Austrian Government), so it made him rebel more against his father.

After his father’s sudden death, his behavior became more intense, and disruptive. Hitler got expelled from his technical school. He enrolled in a secondary school. One night he got drunk and vandalized the school, and for that he got expelled again.

Hitler wanted to pursue painting, but all schools rejected him. An academy said to him that his abilities were not centered in painting, they laid more in architecture. Even though everyone rejected him, he managed to paint. Eventually he ran out of money because he wasn’t selling many paintings.
