Utilizes Graduate Medical Education (GME) Directory published by the American Medical Association (AMA) guidelines to address questions and concerns with the SAUSHEC Adolescent Medicine Fellowship Program requirements. Utilizes Army and Air Force Regulations and other reference material pertaining to administrative procedures and file maintenance, medical dictionaries, and the SAUSHEC Residents Handbook and the Adolescent Medicine Fellowship Guide. Uses sound judgment when making decisions in difficult situations when supervisor is not available. Independently communicates with all levels within the medical center, personnel from MEDCOM GME office and AF equivalent GME office, American Board of Pediatrics (ABP), American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), and American Board of Family Physicians (ABFP), including the Residency Review Committee (RRC), the American College of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), other military and civilian hospitals, candidates, residents, and staff physicians to exchange information and coordinate with different services concerning resident rotations, arrange travel, and coordinate interviews. Responsible for coordination between Office of the Surgeon General (OTSG), BAMC and WHASC GME, Bexar County General Council, University of Texas Health Science Center-San Antonio- Dept. of Pediatrics, Child Guidance Center, Juvenile Detention Center, University Hospital, and other outside rotations. Provides technical and administrative support in the areas of accreditation, program requirements, and academic records. Ensures progra...

Provides guidance and assistance on applicable procedures, instructions, and regulations to physicians and residents assigned to the service. Advises fellows of deadlines and routine appointments.
