I have been working with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator since October of last year and noticed that there were some things that I could do with one program and not with the other. I was a bit curious about it and the thought that rose in my mind was what is the difference and similarity of the two Programs. I often use them hand and hand, knowing that they really compliment the work of each other. So with that question in mind, I decided to do a little research on the Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop and what I discovered was that they had more differences than they have similarities. I was thinking that they would have more in common. But according to the information found online, they are not.
Illustrator, which allows me to create my own unique designs, creates vector graphics and vector text. Illustrator invites me to explore more expressive ways to design.To help you b etter understand the terms Vector Graphics and Vector Text, I will give you the definition of both. Vector Graphics are comprised of paths, which are defined by a start and end point, along with other points, curves, and angles along the way. Vector Text is a text that uses a font created only with line segments. It is very useful to be scaled and very fast. Vector Images take up less storage space and can also be downloaded faster. Vector Images can also be scaled to any size without losing quality. Illustrator can be used online, print, in video, and even on my cell phone. However, I can not apply filter to vector images. ... to have to choose between the two programs and use only one when I have the need and use for both. Both of the programs and their uses are so different, it's probably best to use both adobe programs for my digital and image designs. I can use Photoshop to change up some images and then place them in Illustrator to create a whole new image with the image I fixed in Photoshop. After all, the vector files are smaller and download quicker than the bitmapped image.

The word 'Abstract' means to separate something from something else. Abstract art is art which does not represent anything. It could be based on a subject or may have no source at all in the world around us. The term abstract art can be applied to art that is based on any object, figure or landscape but the forms have been simplified to create an abstracted version of it.
Computer Graphics is the bond between humans and computers. Computer graphics is a large field that branches into almost all fields of computer science; however its roots are young. Computer graphics has massively grown over the past 40 years and is now our primary means of communication with computer applications. Do to technological limitations in the 1950s, computer graphics began as a small, specialized field. The Whirlwind project at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology is marked as the origin of computer graphics (Machover 14).
The other type of art that should be defined is applied art. The main difference between these two forms of art is that fine arts have aesthetic characteristics, while applied arts do not. Applied arts are usually decorative, unlike fine arts which are used to express emotion. These decorative arts can be made from materials such as: glass, wood, stone, metal, and textiles. Applied arts can include architecture, pottery, basket weaving, costumes, interior design, jewelry, tools, weapons, and bookbinding as well. An example of applied arts that I wear every day is my ring. My ring is made out of metal and stones and twists into the shape of an infinity symbol. This is my favorite piece of jewelry that I own, which is why I wear it everyday.
The core courses will help me strengthen my knowledge and competencies needed to design and implement interactive computing systems that benefit humans. The flexibility of the program will allow me choose electives that matches my interest. The elective, Designing User Experiences for Internet-enabled Devices has captivated me the most. I find user interface enhancement, game designing, creating rich multimedia experiences and mobile application development really interesting and I also find the courses related to website development enthralling.
