Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop: How Are They Similar and Different?

I have been working with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator since October of last year and noticed that there were some things that I could do with one program and not with the other. I was a bit curious about it and the thought that rose in my mind was what is the difference and similarity of the two Programs. I often use them hand and hand, knowing that they really compliment the work of each other. So with that question in mind, I decided to do a little research on the Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop and what I discovered was that they had more differences than they have similarities. I was thinking that they would have more in common. But according to the information found online, they are not.

Illustrator, which allows me to create my own unique designs, creates vector graphics and vector text. Illustrator invites me to explore more expressive ways to design.To help you b etter understand the terms Vector Graphics and Vector Text, I will give you the definition of both. Vector Graphics are comprised of paths, which are defined by a start and end point, along with other points, curves, and angles along the way. Vector Text is a text that uses a font created only with line segments. It is very useful to be scaled and very fast. Vector Images take up less storage space and can also be downloaded faster. Vector Images can also be scaled to any size without losing quality. Illustrator can be used online, print, in video, and even on my cell phone. However, I can not apply filter to vector images. ... to have to choose between the two programs and use only one when I have the need and use for both. Both of the programs and their uses are so different, it's probably best to use both adobe programs for my digital and image designs. I can use Photoshop to change up some images and then place them in Illustrator to create a whole new image with the image I fixed in Photoshop. After all, the vector files are smaller and download quicker than the bitmapped image.
