Last year I got involved in a massive car accident. It was the most terrified part of life. It was the moment. I will never forget in my whole life. Before, I never realized how people really feel when a car accident happens.But,after this car accident I know what really it felt like. It was the moment. My mind was totally feared of driving. I was crushed by the hot metal and cold dirt of car. I was not feeling my arm,my body was numbed.It was felt like my lower body pressed down with monster force. I thought, it was the end of life. It was just another day of my life. The fourth ring of my alarm woke me up. As usual, I was not feeling to go in school. I slept a couple of more minutes.After while, the shine of the sun coming from the window woke me up.I slowly stretched my arms and slid out of bed. I brushed my teeth and took the shower. Downstair,my mother was calling me for breakfast.I was still undecided what should wear for school. After browsing for while I found something to wear,and finished getting myself ready for school. When I checked the clock, I was running late as usual, which was not a surprised. I quickly ate my half sandwich and left the rest of the sandwich on the table.I took my car key, jump in my black Lexus and made my way to school.During my way to school, I got a call from my friend John. Oh my God! TJ!“ It was just my mom.She was crying and calling my name again and again.I was so embarrassed and disappointed of my self.I had let her down. After, two of the EMT guys put us on an ambulance. Finally,we made our way to the hospital. My friend john and me were sent in palo alto medical center. It took us about fifteen minute to get there. My friend john was alright. He had a couple of stitches in his head and his arm. He got relieved after a couple of tests but, I was severely injured. I was lying on a hospital bed and thinking what I would have done in the past. Cause this terrible accident happened to me. I was sent to el camino hospital, where I went to the operation theater for my hipbones surgery.The doctor told me after surgery that my hipbones was fractured the reason they had to put a plate in hipbones to stay together.Although, my left arm was also fractured the reason I could not feel my arm. After surgery, they took me to the other room and gave me a couple of injections. Momentarily, I went to sleep. I woke up in the next day and thinking hopefully it was just a dream,but it’s not. I opened my eyes and saw a couple of relative looking me like a stranger. My dad came over my bed and gave me a hug and I literally started crying after thinking about the accident. My mom, my sister, and I lifted my brother into the car. He felt as if he had eaten a ton of bricks. The towels were thrown into the car with haste. Then the car door slammed shut and off they dove to the hospital. The hospital is about 20 minutes away, 30 minutes with traffic. Since no one else went to the hospital with my mom we just have to take my brothers word that my mom sped. My mom said that all of a sudden he came out of shock. He started screaming louder and tried to make sense of what was happening. When they arrived at the hospital they were rushed to a room. The nurses cut off his blood soaked pants. They threw his shirt in a bag to get washed. the whole time my mom was gone with my brother my siblings and I prayed and talked. The tears kept rolling like a broken faucet. Trying to get out the car, but I cannot because the door is bent and will not open. Not knowing what to do was making this pounding headache worst. Police officers asking a million questions. Only thing running through this head was what just happened. Flashbacks kept replaying over and over again. The fact that my mother’s and I lives could have been taken in that short period of time. If I would not have turn the wheel when I did, that car would have hit my mother straight on instead of the front. The thought of just losing my mother was something I could not bear at the moment. With music blasting, voices singing and talking, it was another typical ride to school with my sister. Because of our belated departure, I went fast, too fast. We started down the first road to our destination. This road is about three miles long and filled with little hills. As we broke the top of one of the small, blind hills in the middle of the right lane was a dead deer. Without any thought, purely by instinct I pulled the wheel of the car to the left and back over to the right. No big deal but I was going fast. The car swerved back to the left, to the right, to the left. Each time I could feel the car scratching the earth with its side. My body jolted with the sporadic movements of the car. The car swerved to the right for the last time. With my eyes sealed tight, I could feel my body float off the seat of the car.

I struggle out of bed, and wake up to a chilly winter morning. One of those mornings that make your cheeks redden from the first whip of the cold winter air, and an almost immediate tensing of your muscles. Having no time to spare I have to get into my car without being able to warm it up. Making me have to battle the cold for the six block trip to the high school parking lot to meet up with my friend for our morning ritual of smoking a cigarette. I jump out of my freezing car and get into his S-10 pickup. Today was a little different though, I had a new cd called Monster Magnet that I popped into his cd player to listen to as we drove around. We make our way to the edge of the parking lot being careful not to light our cigarettes before we're out of the view of the cameras.

February twenty-third 2010 was just a regular ordinary day. I was on my way to class on this cold February afternoon, when my phone rung. It was my cousin on the other end telling me to call my mom. I could not figure out what was wrong, so I quickly said okay and I hung up and called my mom. When my mom answered the phone I told her the message but I said I do not know what is wrong. My mom was at work and could not call right away, so I took the effort to call my cousin back to see what was going on. She told me that our uncle was in the hospital and that it did not look good. Starting to tear up I pull over in a fast food restaurant parking lot to listen to more to what my cousin had to say. She then tells me to tell my mom to get to the hospital as quickly as possible as if it may be the last time to see her older brother. My mom finally calls me back and when I tell her the news, she quickly leaves work. That after-noon I lost my Uncle.
On the day my father died, I remember walking home from school with my cousin on a November fall day, feeling the falling leaves dropping off the trees, hitting my cold bare face. Walking into the house, I could feel the tension and knew that something had happened by the look on my grandmother’s face. I always hear those old sayings. In the course of one day I can hear them about everything from retraining old dogs to getting up early. I was on the freeway headed towards the Galleria in Houston, TX, passing the tall Texaco building on this bright sunny afternoon, when everything went downhill. I learned that I should have stayed home the afternoon I got into my first car accident. That afternoon I remember gripping my steering wheel so tightly because I was so nervous about the car behind me that I could feel all of the ridges and grooves throughout my entire steering wheel and every indention in my steering
Years ago I had the most terrifying, shocking day of my life. I had between seven or eight years when this happened. The day before the accident, all my family was at my grandfather’s house. We all were eating the food my mother and my aunts brought, telling jokes at the dinner table. Meanwhile, I was playing with my cousins in the backyard. Everyone was enjoying the family meeting. As the time passed by and everyone was about to go home, my mother suggested the idea that we all should go at my grandparent’s ranch next day, since everyone was in town we all could have the chance to go. Everyone liked the idea. It was the perfect time to go because it was a weekend. As they all agreed to go, they begun to decide who bring what to the gathering. Who would have thought that thanks to that suggestion, I would lead me to the hospital the day of the reunion.

Cracking my eyes open, I noticed that I was lying in a bed in a hospital room with an IV in each arm. It was about 2:00 in the afternoon and I saw the sunlight streaming through the window in my room. I had just gotten out of almost three hours of surgery. My mom was leaning over me, asking me if I was all right, but my mouth was so swollen and numb that I couldn’t talk. Dr. Keller came in to talk to us and explained that my surgery went very well. After that, I stayed at the hospital for about a week before finally going home.
