ABORTION, YES OR NO? Abortion terminates a pregnancy by exterminating a life yet the mother is not charged with murder. Is this right? Surprisingly, this has happened approximately twenty million times in the past twenty years. Unfortunately, in South Africa, an unborn human has been killed legally due to the country’s inadequate laws! The killer of an innocent defenseless human is a murderer, thus, the person deserves the punishment equivalent to a murderer by law. Abortion on demand just gives a mother the “freedom of choice” to terminate her unborn child’s “right to life“. Would you end an innocent life just because of your irresponsibility? All forms of murder, including abortion, put that same disregard for life into practice. Doctors will poison unborn babies with Saline solution or hack their bodies in pieces to extract them from their mother’s womb, which will choke, asphyxiate and eventually die. Yes, abortion is the immoral disregard for human life. But the so-called “pro-choice” movement is trying desperately to defend the practice and to label its opponents as illogical, irrational and outdated fanatics. The implication of the modern society is that those who are in favor of abortion are “up-to-date”, rational and logical. It is said that a foetus is not really a person but is only an appendage to the mother. Therefore, she has the right to remove this foetus just as she would a tumor. According to this argument, the infant’s body does not receive a human life until sometime shortly before birth or just after birth; which in both cases is a murder. Although abortion is now legal, it is still a murder, and the current abortion laws should not be repeated.
