Food. Such a simple concept really: eat it to live. It 's the fuel for your body. It provides you with essential nutrients, vitamins and energy to keep your body functioning happily and healthily. It 's flavorful. It 's delicious. There 's an endless variety. You can cook it, bake it, blend it, or grill it. It 's the center of your thoughts; you plan your day around it. I decided to write an editorial for the main reason to persuade people on what childhood obesity is doing to our society and all around the world. Also what my views points and opinions are on this issue. Which this is an issue that is becoming largely spread across the world and is not just a major health issue but also as a large impact on the economy. I wanted to keep this peace quite short and to the point so I decided to develop an editorial which does this nicely. This editorial is targeted to mainly parents that have children which will also have an impact on children since their parents having the correct information on this issue. Throughout this editorial I’m communicating the idea that childhood obesity needs to stop and is an issue which is growing and needs to be dealt with because of the futures generations health.
Looking around, candy, soda water and junk food are in the hands of fellow classmates. Simply walking down the street countless unhealthy food advertisement are seen and influence our choices as they are intended to do. In America, one in three children, about 22 million children, are obese or overweight, and that number is only rising. Face it, we have all heard the phrase,"You are what you eat" countless times in your life, but what does that truly mean. Every few months or years, millions go into trying new diets and diet pills but fail to understand why they cannot continue to eat healthy after their first few days on their new diet. Well, 1) the word "DIE" is in diet 2) no matter where you look you 're going to find delicious food ads and junk food and 3) you don 't have support.
Without food you will be starving to death. With foods it keeps your body alive and kicking with the nutrients and minerals you intake it keeps your energy level at high. The food groups that contributes to the sustenance of life includes; Glow foods such as Vegetables and Fruits, Grains. Grow foods such as dairy, meat and other alternatives of meat with rich in protein that helps us grow big and strong. Go foods that provides energy such as bread rice and any other foods that primarily provides carbohydrates.
