In 2014, research was conducted into what is really in the beer and alcohol we’re drinking. Some of the results were shocking, including finding arsenic in beer.

Here is a short list of what should really be in the beer you drink:
1. Unhoped pale malt extract.
2. Hops.
3. Package of yeast.
4. Cup priming sugar.

Arsenic in foods is nothing new—it’s even been found in infant formula and baby foods. It’s been known to turn up in everything from rice to cereal to juice, as found through the research done by Dr. Oz. He spoke about a German researcher who had found traces of it in beer. Some of the levels were more than twice than what’s allowed in tap water. Arsenic can be found in beers and wines that are light or clearer in color.

A food blogger named Vani Hari launched an online petition asking the two biggest producers of American beer to list all their ingredients and brewing methods. Peter Marino, a spokesman for MillerCoors, told ABC News that its ingredients are “proprietary information.” She claimed that MillerCoors has confessed to using high fructo...

Michele Simon, a public health lawyer, author of Appetite for Profit, and president of Eat, Drink Politics had stated an interview with Vani Hari: “The reason that beer companies don’t disclose ingredients is simple: they don’t have to.”

Vani Hari, was able to obtain a baseline list of “legal” additives allowed in beer from the book Chemical Additives in Beer by the Center of Science and Public Interest.
