Mrs. E.M is a senior who lives in Pikesville MD in Baltimore County and needed to keep medical appointment, do grocery shopping, and attend the adult center or other general outing. Therefore, three mobility resources including, Medical assistance transportation, Country Ride, and MTA Call- a- ride (Shopping Shuttle) were made available to her.
Medical assistance transportation is funded by the State of Maryland and coordinates transportation services for Medical Assistance beneficiaries who live in Baltimore County, and who are in need of transportation to access medically necessary services. This program provides "last resort" transportation for ambulatory, wheelchair, and stretcher-bound recipients who have no other means available of transport to get to and from medical appointments. She needs to call to schedule transportation to need medical services Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., except on holidays. This service does not provide transportation beyond medical appointment, it is required for E.M to call the provider to schedule a minimum of 24 hours in advance. The application is through Medical Assistance (Medicaid) and there is no other means of transportation. Also, doctor must certify that the patient cannot use public transportation as a result of medical condition before one can be eligible. The form must be complete and signed by the patient 's doctor and fax, or mail it to the Baltimore County Department of Health.
Moreover, CountyRide provides specialized transportation services to residents of Baltimore County from 60 years of age or older, and persons with disabilities from age 18 to 59.

Customers are requested to call back after 20 minutes to know the status of the ride. Customers can call on Monday through Friday, 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. for card replacement in case of losing card. Application is required from the County residence in order to be eligible for the service.
In conclusion, mobility resources enable County residence who are without transportation means to be able to get to medical appointment, shopping, and other general places.
