A Personal Experience Of A Trip To Bad Axe

We were about to embark on one of our weekly trips to a small city called Bad Axe. We hardly ever went there unless we needed to get groceries or clothes. We lived in the country which was twenty minutes from the nearest town. Bad Axe was a good half hour away. It had Kmart, Big Wheels, McDonalds, and many other fast food chains. Dad packed us all in the car and we headed out on one of our family adventures. Most of the trips to Bad Axe consisted of Mom giving my sister and me a lecture on expected behavior or gazing out the window. This trip was no different. We finally arrived and parked below a large sign above the building that read, Big Wheels. Big Wheels was a Michigan based company similar to a Kmart or Walmart. It had toys, clothes, and general necessities. My sister and I were excited to go in and check out every toy

I had the ability to learn new platforms and help others who struggled to use computer systems. It became my mantra and later a successful career to troubleshoot and fix problems with computers. I started to get into the hardware side of computers at the age of sixteen. The games at this time were becoming more graphically intensive and would require better hardware to run. One of my close friends and I took an Intel 486 and upgraded the graphics card we purchased from a local computer store. This made a huge difference in the playability of the game. Next, with the graphics upgraded we needed a better sound card and speakers. We researched the different types of sound cards and speakers by comparing and contrasting specifications. The machine had specific requirements which required knowledge of computer slot types, and resource limitations. This went on for a couple years. As new hardware came out, processors, graphics cards, memory, motherboards, and sound cards, we had to have it and build it. The goal was to have the best graphics and fastest processing game machine
