Daisy is sitting in the back of the bus. She is enjoying the ride and looking out the window. The bus then abruptly stops and she was thrown forward in her seat. Fred then walks on to the bus and sees, that the only seat left is the one next to Daisy.Fred sat down with a huff and he began to make himself comfortable. The bus then began to move and they were back on the road. Five minutes into the ride, Daisy was busy writing her song and then was singing the song quietly to herself. As she is singing, Fred rudely says “do you mind” to Daisy. This took Daisy by surprise. She then sat up and turned to Fred. She said “ We did not get to know each other yet” Daisy introduces herself and she then sits down and asks who Fred is. Fred harshly says coldly “ don’t worry about it”. This comment upset Daisy a lot and made her sad. She then turned her back to Fred. Daisy was so hurt by Fred’s comments and his rude actions toward her. This caused Daisy to look out the window for a long time. For the next hour of the ride, Daisy was looking out the window until, Fred turns to her and says that his name is Fred. This takes Daisy by surprise and causes Daisy to become a little more happy about the whole thing. Even though it was a better reaction, than she got the first time she still did not trust Fred so she just ignored him. She waited about 10 minutes and felt bad for avoiding Fred so she turned his way. She suddenly notice that he was sleeping before she could asking him a few questions. With this now known, Daisy happily fell asleep knowing that she had made a new friend. A half an hour later, Daisy woke up to the sound of the road. Daisy sat up straight and found Fred reading his newspaper. Daisy decided that she would take another ch... ... middle of paper ... ...e scenery was. As the taxi slowed down in front of a house, he could feel the butterflies in his stomach and his heart beating fast like a drum as he walked to the front door. As he was in front of the door, he decided to knock on the door. As he waited for someone to answer the door. He knew that he had made the right decision to turn back. The door opened slowly and it revealed Daisy. She was speechless to see Fred. She was about to ask why he was here but he interrupted her and said that he made the wrong choice of letting her get off at the bus stop. Daisy was amazed to hear this. She leaned toward Fred and gave him a kiss then Fred bringing her closer to him kissing her back. Once she was done, she invited him inside. From that point on, Daisy and Fed dated for 6 months and then they got married. They had two kids and lived happily for the rest of their lives.
When Nick visits Daisy she tells him the story of how her daughter was born, “It’ll show you how I’ve gotten to feel about––things. Well, she was less than an hour old and Tom was God knows where. I woke up out of the ether with an utterly abandoned feeling.” By leaving Daisy behind at a time when she most needs him, Tom loses his value of companionship with Daisy. He no longer fits the three criteria that Daisy feels she needs in a man. Daisy knows that Tom no longer loves her and is having an affair with another woman, but despite all of this, Daisy has no intention of leaving him (20). This is because Tom, despite no longer fulfilling her emotionally, is still better for her financially and socially than if she left him to live alone. If Daisy wants to stay in her class, she has no option other than to stay with Tom. When Daisy finally sees Gatsby again, she suddenly has another option besides staying with Tom. Daisy knows that Gatsby has true feelings of love towards her, but leaving Tom would prove to be risky as it could tarnish her reputation and by extension her social stability. Daisy is now struggling between taking a risk for love and maintaining a safe, stable life she is ultimately unhappy

Tom sees right through Jay’s little romance with Daisy as absurd, calling him out as, “crazy!”(125) Since his devotion for her boarders on obsession, creating a visionary life with Daisy, and unrealistic expectations she will never be able to fulfill. Tom sees the affair much differently as just a bump in the road, Gatsby’s expectations of Daisy will put her in unbelievable pressure and will overwhelm her. Overall Tom’s willing to forgive her, and let her continue living the life that she already has been, while Jay wants to change everything about her lifestyle. Daisy responds in between Jay, and Tom’s argument saying, “‘I did love him once − but I loved you too.’” (126) She is confronting her conflict, by trying to rationally infer what her decision should be to resolve this rivalry. By choosing Jay over Tom she would be essentially wrecking her marriage, and future stability with Tom. She could never live up to Jay’s high expectations of her, and ruin the perfect illusion she has with Tom. Daisy could never give up what she currently obtains, and completely disregard the past to benefit Jay. Furthermore, Tom tries to take back Daisy by responding, “in my heart I love her all the time.’” (125) He uses his control as her
There is great sincerity to Daisy’s indecisiveness that only confuses Gatsby while he still lives in his illusions of recapturing the past. Mrs Buchanan’s love for Gatsby is real and profound, but Daisy struggles to let go of the aristocracy that she has become accustom to while married to Tom. The revelati...
Arriving at Lacey’s house I walk to the backdoor letting myself into the house. Lacey was putting on tanning lotion in the kitchen, “Lacey,” I called to her, “my mom wants me to pick up snacks for the beach, do you want to go into town with me?”, “Sure,” she replied, “do you mind if my cousin comes with us?”, “Of course I don’t mind,“ I answered, “but we have to get moving, my dad only left me the car to use ‘til noon.”
A New Literacy Age in American Society Super Sad True Love Story by Gary Shteyngart depicts a futuristic American society dominated by media. Technology is their most precious process, everything revolves around their äppärät. Everyone is ranked based on their attractiveness and wealth. Most people want to stay young and live longer. Any written artifacts are almost non-existent, and literacy is not the same as before.
Tom and Daisy Buchanan, the rich couple, seem to have everything they could possibly want. Though their lives are full of anything you could imagine, they are unhappy and seek to change, Tom drifts on "forever seeking a little wistfully for the dramatic turbulence of some irrecoverable football game"(pg. 10) and reads "deep books with long words in them"(pg. 17) just so he has something to talk about. Even though Tom is married to Daisy he has an affair with Myrtle Wilson and has apartment with her in New York.. Daisy is an empty character, someone with hardly any convictions or desires. Even before her relationships with Tom or, Gatsby are seen, Daisy does nothing but sit around all day and wonder what to do with herself and her friend Jordan. She knows that Tom is having an affair, yet she doesn't leave him even when she hears about Gatsby loving her. Daisy lets Gatsby know that she too is in love with him but cant bring herself to tell Tom goodbye except when Gatsby forces her too. Even then, once Tom begs her to stay, even then Daisy forever leaves Gatsby for her old life of comfort. Daisy and Tom are perfect examples of wealth and prosperity, and the American Dream. Yet their lives are empty, and without purpose.

During this outing, Mr. Button informed Benjamin that he was his father. Mr. Button showed Benjamin the button factory which was the family business. He tells Benjamin that he is sorry for abandoning him after he was born and begins to tell him about his mother. His father died a short time after that, leaving everything to
I can surely say that I won't be able to forget about our love story. You were the most beautiful thing that could ever happen in my life. The most tender feeling I have ever endured. Having you in my life and having the opportunity to meet you brought warmth, love, and passion to my heart and soul. The fact that we decide to go separate ways has filled my heart with coldness, sadness and fear, not knowing if you would ever come back to me and perhaps you would forget me bring tears to my eyes.
