Finances are something that affects and concerns the lives of every person around the word. Currently, we should all know the importance of finances regardless of our profession or area of study. At some point in our lives everybody, not only big corporations, faced concerns regarding the proper and efficient management of wealth. The interview that I conducted in this class not only gave me the opportunity to learn about my future career path, but also expand my perspective regarding the multifunctional aspects of being a professional in the finance sector.

For this project, I interviewed the Director of Finance, Shuchi Sharma, who holds a position in Josephinum Academy a private educational institution. During this interview, Shuchi enriched me with her individual growth on this field and as someone that brings a wealth of professional experience. The experiences she have gained in navigating both difficult and not-so-difficult situations involving management, finances, students, faculty, staff, parents, and even board members has prepared her position. She strongly believe that everything is possible if you put your mind to it, no obstacle will hold you back as long as you have perseverance and dedication in your life. Shuchi 's passion and invest on this community and larger understandings regarding finances and management enabled me with valuable knowledge towards my own career path .

For instance, sponsorship contributions are put into action to directly benefit the young women of the school through scholarship programs. This organization understands the costs associated with putting children...

..., and balance daily activities as a professional and individual.

Shuchi concluded this interview with ethics , which in finances gets harder to implement and follow as you move up in this field. However, many decisions that are made in business, will somehow have an impact on society, either to customers or employees connect it with the organization. Therefore, she advised me that one must try to satisfy the needs of the customers externally and internally and has a moral obligation to ensure the well-being to those relate to the organization. As a leader every decision and action can have a small or big impact on others, therefore no decision can not be rushed. Shuchi’s last advice was that in order to achieve something in life you need to be able to push yourself beyond your own limits because in a door of success and opportunity only opens if you knock them all.
