Recommended: Volunteering in the nonprofit organization essay

The purpose of this assignment is to participate in and evaluate a health-promoting activity beyond the classroom. I need to observe, record and interact with members of the community. I have chosen to volunteer at a Daycare centre because I am currently completing a Diploma in early childhood education and care, so this will benefit me to gaining my placement hours and is an opportunity to get hands on experience in the field and learn from other people. I have acquired a Child care first aid certificate and a Police clearance that specifies in working with children in order to commence Volunteering. My Intention was to volunteer at a place that I was passionate about, and enjoyed in order to make a positive impact to the community. Since I will be freely giving my time, energy and skills, I wanted it to be meaningful, positive and rewarding. She demonstrated the health and safety regulations, Centre rules, Expectations, Menus and fire exists. I will be working with children 0-2 which is an age group that is more hands on, and I am happy about this. By volunteering at Modbury Community Children’s centre I will learn and develop new skills. I hope to gain a sense of achievement at the end of my volunteering experience. I will be Volunteering every Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
