I know that I start things between us a lot of the time, but even you know why. You know that it took a lot for me to trust you, but now I do. Tonight we stand at a crossroad where each one of use will take a new direction in our life's journey. Walt Whitman said "Not I - not anyone else can travel that road for you. You must travel it for yourself." Where we end up isn't the most important decision, but instead it is the road we choose to take to get there. The road we take is what we will look back on and call our life. Life is a journey of everyday experiences, teaching us moment in, moment out, who we really are. It's important to remember these words "Happiness is to be found along the way, not at the end of the road, for then the journey is over and it is too late."
As humans, we tend wallow in despair and self- pity when our dreams and aspirations seem to disappear into thin air before our very eyes. While it is true that we might go through catastrophic situations that are irreversible, we can also choose to have a positive outlook towards life. I do appreciate the gift of life very much so many years ago, I made a commitment to myself that as difficult as it may be, I would live my life one day at a time. I try to control the situations that are within my reach but for those that are nature adaptive, I allow nature to take its course. After all, I’m just human!
