Introduction
Idaho Falls is home to one hundred and thirty thousand three hundred and seventy four people. Located on the Eastern edge of Idaho, Idaho Falls is a focal point for much of Idaho and Western Wyoming. While conducting demographic research on the metropolitan area, I found some interesting stats. Using the demographic indicators of age structure, racial diversity, and family makeup, provided me essential data that describes the makeup of its metropolitan area.
Basic Facts about the Metropolitan Area
Idaho Falls is the states largest city outside Boise metropolitan area. The Snake River aids water to crops such as sugar beets, potatoes, peas and more. Idaho Falls was founded in 1864. The Idaho National Laboratory is one of the major employers fueling Idaho Falls economy. Today the city is experiencing continues growth and receiving national attention. Its culture scene has expanded immensely becoming a destination for art festivals and concerts. Its extravagant living and first-class outdoors makes it apparent why the area continues to grow.
Age Structure
Known for being one of the best places in the country to raise kids, Idaho Falls has an increasing number of youth each year. In 2010, nine percent of its population was children under five. And only little over one percent were people over eighty-five. Because Idaho’s harsh winters it weeds out the elderly. Records show temperatures in the dead of winter up to the negatives, explaining why many have left for a more balanced climate. Much is similar to U.S. as a whole. As Idaho Falls receives more attention, I predict that in the next decade we will see a fifty percent increase in growth. With a movement in culture and arts, we will soon the lack of diversity began to fade out and a new chapter for Idaho Falls metropolitan area will emerge.

there is also an increase in friends placed in the voluntary kin category. The article states that people who are single or live alone think of themselves as a family. Yet studies shown that these single families tend to keep more in touch with the relatives. A statement that Dr. Coontz makes is that We’re seeing a class divide not only between the haves and the have-nots, but between the I do’s and the I do nots,”. The article also states that the way demographer noticed differences in today’s family from previous one was through the birth rates, today’s rate is about half of what it used to be in 1960. After the era of the baby boom in 1964, the rate was 36 percent, and last year the number dropped to 23.5 percent predicting a 21 percent of child births by 2050. This because less women are become mothers – yet those who are only have one or two children compared the 3 children per family in the 1970s. Another reason the articles bring up about child care is the expenses, a child can easily cost a family as little as 241,080 to about a million dollars. However, the article agrees with chapter when it states that women with a bachelor or higher wait longer to get married and have children (about 90 percent)

...derly at work places and at home will improve their mental and social wellbeing. The aging population will affect every single citizen in Canada. Not one citizen wants a raise in taxes; however, if there is not any strategy setup to combat the aging population issues, Canadians will see raises in taxes causing frustration. Implementing these strategies will not only keep the elderly happy, but it will keep them healthy. The healthier an individual is, the less medical expenses, so why not get started on investing on this project which can save citizens several tax dollars. The results obtained in the primary research reinforce the support of the strategies presented. Majority of the participants understand the possible economic and health care issues the aging population will bring, thus getting started on this matter sooner will be beneficial for Canada’s future.
Welcome to Salt Lake City, Utah! Home to nearly 1.15 million civilians, Salt Lake is the center for industrial banking and transportation centers in the U.S. Salt Lake has surly provided a vital outdoor tourist industry, based primarily on skiing. Salt Lake, is a glamorous mid-sized city containing many various outdoor activities and people. The people are extensively nice here, as well as extremely hospitible.

...es are located in Oklahoma, Oklahoma City and Tulsa, and 65 percent of Oklahomans live within their metropolitan areas, or spheres of economic and social influence defined by the United States Census Bureau as a metropolitan statistical area. Oklahoma City, the state's capital and largest city, had the largest metropolitan area in the state in 2010, with 1,252,987 people, and the metropolitan area of Tulsa had 937,478 residents. Oklahoma is where I was born and raised and I would not trade the experience to live here to live anywhere in the world. Oklahoma is my family and I love being able to tell people I am originally from Oklahoma and this is where I will remain. Oklahoma is beautiful, friendly, and home. Although the weather gets out of control at times, and I never really know what tomorrow will hold. I know that Oklahoma will always be the place I call home.
States in areas such as urban population, employment and many other ways. The mass number of
California is one of the major states that contains a vast population of people in the United States. It is known to contain big cities, celebrities, and movies. In fact, it is also a state that contains thousands of people living in poverty. I conducted an analysis on Santa Cruz county cities Santa Cruz and Watsonville. In my findings, I saw that Santa Cruz is considered to be the wealthy city, whereas Watsonville is the poorest within the county.
The easternmost portion of Washington houses Spokane, a city of a quarter of a million residents that's only a few minutes from the Idaho border. Spokane is close enough to the Cascades to make it an attractive tourist destination, especially for ski trips. Plenty of green space and a recent downtown renaissance gives Spokane a fresh small-town appeal despite its size. Hints of the city's industrial roots remain, but the warehouses have become converted into galleries, theaters and elegant apartments.
In this reading, Susan.L Brown talks about the growth in unmarried cohabitation over the past few decades and how this fundamentally has altered American family life by providing a context for intimate partnership and childbearing outside marriage. Cohabitation has challenged our understanding of the family. Families were formed as a result of courtship, but now it is not the case, cohabitation has replaced courtship; this has changed the state of American families today compared to fifty years ago. In the past, marriages were the only things that allowed people to cohabitate, but now it is not the case anymore. Young adults have a different lifestyle compared to those who lived 50 years ago.
