Our generation is greatly influenced by the rapid growth of the use of technology in our everyday lives. Apple Inc. is one of the companies considered frontrunners in the development of technological advances, especially in the area of computers and operating systems for devices ranging from laptops, personal computers, and mobile devices. With new devices created by Apple Inc. the necessity for stable and powerful operating systems have become a requirement. Known for its constant updates and upgrades of OS’s, Apple Inc. has produced an operating system that has truly captivated the public and has brought the company back to competition, the name of this OS; Mac OS X. has a tremendous and rich historical influence in technology. Who in the world of modern technology does not recognize names like Stephen Wozniak and Steve Jobs? According to Halcome “Stephen Wozniak, Steven Jobs, and Ronald Wayne started Apple Computer, now Apple Inc., in April of 1976 with Apple I and in 1983 Apple introduced Lisa, the first production computer with a GUI (Surveys of Operating Systems 254). Indeed, Mac OS X’s is the epitome of years of design and experience behind Apple Inc. According to Wikipedia.org “Mac OS X was first released in 1999 as Mac OS X Server 1.0, and with a desktop-oriented version (Mac OS X v10.0) following in March 2001 (History of Mac OS X).” Ever since then, Apple Inc. has released versions of the same OS with improvements and modifications. Ever since its inception, the Mac OS X has released an approximately fourteen versions which the most current version of the Mac OS X is called El Capitan. and Microsoft has been a catalyst for new technologies and devices. It was clear that Microsoft was the stronger company during the 1990’s but surely Apple Inc. has caught up with fresh and new innovations that visionaries like Steve Jobs brought to the world. Mac OS X is truly the epitome of Apple Inc. trying to regain a chunk of the computer market. I can personally foresee a future where integration between different devices with the same operating system will be commonplace, and that future is occurring now. For instance, as stated on the official Apple.com website:
