...th a scholarship to help pay for it. At the moment there are other career field options that I would be interested in. Although I love helping animals, it takes a lot of dedication to school and quite a few years to become a vet. If I didn’t have a scholarship I wouldn’t want a ton of debt after graduation. I know I would have debt even if I had a scholarship, but with other payments, I am not sure that I would be able to stay relaxed with the payments I would have to pay. There could be some emergency and I might have to leave school for some reason. I could get hurt and have to pay for surgery. There are all sorts of possibilities that could go wrong. I have to be prepared and think about what could happen in the future. If I got a scholarship, but I had to leave school the scholarship would not be useful anymore. This is why I do not want to be a veterinarian.
